Hey X/Twitter physio folk, does anyone work or know any physios at Leicester Royal Infirmary or Leicester General? I’m looking to find work experience for my 15 year old cousin who lives in this area. Thanks 😃

A global crowdsourcing platform tried different ways to motivate people to contribute their ideas. Which do you think was more effective? A) Offering financial payments & other "high-powered" incentives or B) Giving people the opportunity to connect with others in service-orientated activities, have fun & build a sense of belonging The answer: B) won by a mile. A) showed promise at first but was not sustainable. ‘Intrinsic joy’ sparks ideas better than cash incentives: hbswk.hbs.edu/item/intrinsic… By @Layniac via @HBSWK

Thanks @paulawoods5 4 sharing this. It is an excellent resource, but if sharing widely is it worth stipulating in the document that clinicians must check local pathways? For example example, our regional MSCC pathway is different to yours (we use oncology) to avoid confusion? 🙏🏻
This is gaining some new interest so please click on the below link to get this document. Hope it’s helpful. mpft.nhs.uk/application/file…

Plus the cauda equina pathway doesn’t stipulate the 2 week cut off for referring to ED. Could this be updated? Perhaps it’s worth a separate version for sharing outside of your Trust?

We’re delighted to launch a new pathway today to support clinicians in diagnosing and treating suspected Cauda Equina Syndrome (#CES). Helping #NHS teams deliver best practice for #CES referrals across all stages of the pathway. View pathway: 🔗bit.ly/3ILgCIo 1/4

What did we find? A 🧵 Our systematic search identified 170 RCTs exploring interventions for people with PFP, and we retained 65 high quality trials for data synthesis. We pooled data where appropriate, aiming to identify efficacious interventions 1/x
Here it is: the biggest systematic review with meta-analysis I've ever undertaken, immensely proud to see this out there. Huge thanks to our group of co-authors and to @clare_ardern & the @JOSPT team for an excellent peer review experience. doi.org/10.2519/jospt.2022.1…
