Not budging on that cap 😏
MLB's new proposals to the MLBPA, per @JeffPassan and @BNightengale:
-Salary cap starts in 2028 so teams have time to prepare
-Cap of $258.2M and floor of $180.2M (last proposal was $245.3M and $171.2M)
-$1 million minimum salary (up from $780K)

I spoke to an evaluator a few days ago about Peter Fatse (before I knew he was in the running for the Phillies job) and he mentioned how well he works with his players. There were players on the Red Sox that were still talking with him about hitting after he was fired in April.
I’m going into this with optimism. The Phillies needed a new voice and they’re getting a trusted leader. Hopefully it works out.
