I'd read up on the history of our country and I'd become fascinated with the story of the Alamo. To me it represented the fight for freedom, not just in America, but in all countries.

The socialist redistribution of migrants across the EU.
BREAKING:
The European Commission announced today which countries are under “migratory pressure” and will be able to send away some of their asylum seekers to other EU states under the “migrant relocation quotas” created by the EU’s new Migration Pact. The countries are:
🇪🇸 Spain
🇮🇹 Italy
🇬🇷 Greece
🇨🇾 Cyprus
These 4 countries will be able to put asylum seekers into a “Solidarity Pool” for 2027 from which migrants will then be relocated in other EU states.
The size of the Solidarity Pool was decided today but the information about it is being kept secret for now.
6 countries were classified as facing a “significant migratory situation” and will be allowed to request from exemptions of receiving quota migrants. Those 6 countries are:
🇵🇱 Poland
🇨🇿 Czechia
🇭🇷 Croatia
🇦🇹 Austria
🇧🇬 Bulgaria
🇪🇪 Estonia
To receive an exemption, the country’s request has to pass a QMV vote (Qualified Majority Voting) in the Council of the European Union.
Countries which are forced to take part in the Solidarity Pool will either have to take in the number of quota migrants assigned to them by the EU, pay EUR 21 000 for every quota migrant they refuse to receive or send significant resources to help the 4 countries under migratory pressure to handle the situation.
Two countries have refused to take part in the entire new migrant relocation system and its fines. Those two countries are:
🇭🇺 Hungary
🇸🇰 Slovakia

The left is inherently better at attracting the masses because it appeals to human instincts and emotions, from envy to the desire for comfort and dependence on the state.
The right, by contrast, relies on reason, logic, individual responsibility, and a willingness to take risks.
Because human beings are emotional creatures before they are rational ones, the left enjoys a popular advantage that the right finds difficult to overcome.

If newly elected politicians follow through on opposition to data centers, there will come a day when they find themselves in the same position as Germany has with regard to opposition of traditional/nuclear energy.

All Europeans gloating over looming bans on data centres in the US, haven’t quite figured out yet how desperately that undermines Europe’s own capability, security and sovereignty.

The UK is broken.
As a nation, we've become:
Anti-aspiration.
Anti-business.
Anti-growth.
The numbers say it all:
Record 38.6% tax burden.
1% growth.
£3tn debt.
This goes deeper than the current government.
Somewhere over 15 years, a mindset has set in where success is immoral, profit is a dirty word, and employers "aren't working people".
Until that changes:
Our best and brightest will keep leaving.
Businesses will stop investing.
The decline will continue.
What would you change first?
It's a shame some of your followers don't adopt the same attitude. As far as Western Buddhists go, I've found them to be incredibly selfish, rude, unpleasant people.
