We just published an open-access article on deep survival modelling to predict Alzheimer's disease in healthy older adults - achieving 75% accuracy and AUC of 0.89👇 academic.oup.com/biomedgeron… @irimia_lab

Check out our recent open-access article on the Tsimane forager-horticulturalists of the Bolivian Amazon 👇 Selected as Editor's Choice, this work finds a link between the Tsimane's physically active lifestyle and low rates of CI. academic.oup.com/biomedgeron… @irimia_lab

Here's our second paper from my @LosAlamosNatLab #postdoc! We used a stacked TEVA-DGA resin combo to create single-element fractions of Pu, Am, and Np from a U matrix. It will help make nuclear forensic investigations 4x faster! link.springer.com/article/10…

Our latest publication explores demyelination after mild TBI. Reductions in myelination were found both immediately and 6 months after injury. Spatial profiles of demyelination after TBI resemble those found in Alzheimer’s, a disease of which these patients are at a higher risk.

Completely agree - an incredible honour to have him here with us!
We have @ProfPCDoherty here with us for #ISMRMANZ @ISMRM_ANZ. His enthusiasm is absolutely infectious (...sorry, terrible pun 😬). Personally, it's not the Nobel Prize that impresses me, but rather the energy he's radiating. Here's a person that lives for his passion, science. 💚
