The first post nominee today goes to...
I'm in Georgia this morning. Gas prices are $3.65 per gallon on average, per AAA.
In Illinois, a gallon today costs $4.89.
Nearly $1.25 per gallon more expensive for Illinoisans.
One big reason? Gasoline taxes.
While @GovPritzker has been hiking gas taxes since 2019, now the 2nd- or 3rd-highest in the country, Georgia has kept them low.
And Gov. Kemp has even suspended the 33 cent motor fuel tax for now.
Policies matter. Illinoisans need relief. Via @Fight4Illinois

So abortion is bad but a cop can shoot and kill a one year old baby named Kohen Wiley because his mother was suspected of shoplifting diapers. She did not by the way. Where is the pro life outrage ? I will wait…forever

The biggest threat facing our country is that we have too many dumb fucks who are still willing to vote for Donald Trump.
Teddy thoughtfully left out Illinois' population is 3x that of Kentucky...lol.
Kentucky votes in 5 days. Illinois' voting season is 54.
Illinois politicians have turned Election Day into a 54-day season of loose rules, raising the risks of fraud and abuse every election.
For Illinoisans who want a better state, they’ll have to turn out in overwhelming numbers on Nov. 3 to overcome those risks.

Ukraine will be ahead of the US in innovation and technology in five years.
Historical moment! The first-ever aerial evacuation of a person from the frontline using a UAV.
An infantryman from the 30th Mechanized Brigade was wounded while holding a position. Due to intense enemy drone activity and heavily mined terrain, evacuating him using standard ground-based robotic systems was impossible.
That’s when specialists from the drone company of the 92nd Assault Brigade stepped up to attempt something that had never been done before: evacuating a soldier using an aerial drone. They used a heavy hexacopter manufactured in Ukraine.
The drone was piloted by an operator from the 30th Mechanized Brigade. The operation was a success, the wounded soldier was saved!
You know this dude lost more than half in both divorces ... smdh

Bullshit. This is an entitled, self-important woman who thinks she can do whatever she likes. She shoved him for no good reason--because it made her feel important to shove him.
Women have to start facing consequences when they act like this. He was 100% correct.

A Duke player swatted a woman's arm away on live TV Saturday. Under NCAA rules, his own head coach isn't allowed to overrule her.
She's an athletic trainer. Back in 2016, the biggest conferences in college football passed a rule giving trainers and team doctors "unchallengeable autonomous authority" over medical decisions for injured players. Coaches can't override their calls, and they can't even be their boss anymore, since the rule pulled medical staff out of the coach's chain of command completely.
Brian Hainline, the NCAA's top doctor at the time, called it the most important piece of legislation in NCAA history. That sounds like a lot for a rule about trainers, until you hear why they needed it.
Trainers were getting steamrolled. Coaches wanted their guys back on the field, and the medical staff didn't always get the final word. Even three years after the rule passed, about a quarter of college athletic trainers told NATA they still didn't feel like they had real medical authority at their own school.
So think about what she's running into. A player is down and not moving. Every trainer is taught to treat that as a possible neck injury until they know otherwise. The 2020 guidelines for spine injuries in football basically come down to keeping that head and neck still, which means one person takes the head and everybody without a job in that circle backs up.
A teammate hovering over the pile is one more body that can bump him or get in the way. And in the third quarter of a rivalry game, with his ears stuck inside a helmet, a hand on the shoulder is honestly the fastest way to tell a guy to move.
Look, he was worried about his teammate. Anybody who's played knows that sick feeling when your guy isn't getting up. The most useful thing he could've done for him right then was take two steps back and let her work.
If Manny Diaz walked out there and shoved her aside on a medical call, Duke would be breaking NCAA rules. Somebody should probably let his cornerback know.

The number of "socialists" in the comments is surprising. I thought Americans were all about capitalism and earning money??? /s
With the expansion of the IHSA football playoffs growing from 256 teams to 384 teams, the result is the addition of several 3-6 and 2-7 teams receiving a playoff berth. This is unchartered territory in Illinois. The problem is, the pairings which were announced tonight have several examples of a 2-7 team vs 7-2 team. How does that benefit anyone? If 2-7 teams are being given a berth, why not put them against another 2-7 team, or a 3-6 team, or perhaps even a 4-5 team. Pairing a 2-7 vs 7-2 makes zero sense to me. What is the point? Other than gate revenue money, I see no reason to put struggling football programs through this exercise.
The snowflakes in the comments defending the player are hilarious... and probably the last remaining bots Russia has.
Way too many males of all ages have become WAY TOO FUCKING COMFORTABLE hitting or smacking women away. That shit has got to stop.
Who is this motherfucking #Duke player and how do we put enough pressure on the coach to make sure he gets kicked off the team???
Arguing this is correct will be exhausting in polisci classesin 10 years.
The ratio & volume of anti-Zelenskyy, anti-Ukraine posts on my timeline is crazy. It is like back to back posts. I hope вовчнк can hit the remaining bot farm soon to put an end to their seeding.
Lol... dude says voters should think independently but still vote for the worse candidate. *smdh* Make it make sense...lol
Dude. I must have upset the X algorithm demons. 2 out of every 5 post on my feed are about Zelenskyy. 70% of the negative. Probably will get worse if he can take out another data center or two.
