Can anyone answer us this… Teddy has abandoned his massive memory foam bed for a tiny plastic bowl on the window ledge. Is he just a cat, or are we missing something? #StandTall #PCTeddy #MerpolMounted #PoliceCat #IfTeddyFitsHeSits

Fall was your season, sweet Kevy.🍂🍁As soon as the heat came on, you would settle in to your fave spot by the fireplace and purr happily. Miss mew and Skippy so much. We wish we could hear those cozy little purrs again. 🌈 #ThrowbackThursday #SNELovesPets

A major milestone for the @_ECDP! The first-in-class retrofit of ETCS digital signalling on @GC_Rail's Class 180 fleet has now received authorisation, bringing high-speed, digitally signalled passenger services one step closer. More 👉 ow.ly/SnKr51008RF

Every autumn something sweet happens. My four cats realise the weather is changing & go into ‘winter mode’. Our girl cat, Coco, has the biggest change. Spring/summer she loses her thick coat & spends most of her time outside. Soon as the fire goes on in Oct she’s a fluffy lap cat

Baxter is a male black cat, aged around 4-5 years old. He is looking for a new home as sadly he was left behind when his owner was evicted. He has been looked after since by a cat charity and their friends, however as the colder months are now here, he would need a cosy warm home to call his own. He is very friendly and stays close to his female carer. He will also eat anything, not fussy. We have very limited information on Baxter due to the circumstances of his life. He would make a great companion pet for someone who is on their own, no other pets or young kids - older children 9+ would be okay. For more information or to offer Baxter a new home please email [email protected]

When DCMS bothers to talk about public service media, 'supporting the UK's creative economy' is always an easy get on the bingo sheet. Recent White Paper gossip & muted reactions to more brutal BBC cuts suggests that support still starts and ends with nothing but bromides

An 'end of film' shot but it has some historical value - ex-Works 43157 & 160 ready to leave Derby on 22/12/1983 on a 'back to back' test run (to Burton-on-Trent?). If all went well they'd be reunited with the trailer cars & go for another test run up to Darlington or Newcastle.

#ThrowbackThursday and ITV filming with Selina Scott at Berney Arms 05 Oct 2006- getting the outside TV team to this location was a bit fraught. Selina ended up stuck at Reedham station, and the TV crew on the A47 near Yarmouth with no mobile phone signal; we had to liaise with the RSPB and English Heritage, who were also part of the subject for 'A day at Berney Arms'. Let's just say that production started late!

Friends! Is anyone still awake? It’s been a quiet day on here - possibly the quietest day we’ve ever had. I’m wondering why, and it’s keeping me awake. I might not be as interesting a cat as I used to be. I’m older now so I don’t do as much. Maybe that’s why? 🩶

There's a lot of chatter about mobile noise on trains, and I occasionally see comment that things were quieter in the past. The 1960s wants a word. Then, transistor radios were considered a plague, to the extent that British Railway's Western Region produced this poster.
🤳 Reels blaring from the seat behind? 📢 A video call on speaker that the whole carriage didn't ask to join? 'Loudcasting' on public transport has become a daily annoyance for many passengers. Share the carriage, not the noise: 👉 bit.ly/47y8czM

I've only ever seen a RHTT stop at Dunston twice for a tweak to the treatment equipment. Once was today, when it wasn't there long enough for me to get a shot, but I WAS at the station when 37609 and 37602 happened to stop with their train back in November 2017.
As it won't all that long until the Railhead Treatment Trains are readied for action, here are a few pics of @DRSgovuk #class37s 37609 and 602 on the return leg of a Carlisle RHTT after stopping at Dunston for the train to receive some technical attention - 10/11/17..
