Our lab is hiring a postdoc scholar. Please share!
The link has a description of what work we are currently doing and what an ideal fit for the lab will look like.
Broadly, we are working on how peroxisomal function and dietary lipids influence aging.

📢 I am so incredibly happy and proud about this one!
🔟+ years in the making, 2,5 years since first submission, 1⃣ year since we posted it @biorxivpreprint, it finally found it’s home @NatureCellBio!

⚡️New @biorxivpreprint from our group⚡️
In this manuscript, we provide answers to the long-standing question "Where is mTOR and what is it doing there?", further complementing it with insights about "WHY is it there in the first place?"

Huge publication in @Nature by @calico disentangling the contribution of genetic diversity to dietary interventions! Treasure chest of results - like the observation that the biggest determinant of lifespan extension are immune- but not metabolism-related shorturl.at/vASeP
Never regret joining the CSHL Mechanisms of Aging Conference! It was such a thrill to engage with pioneers in the field.
Plus, (post-graduation) presenting my PhD work right after my supervisor's keynote speech? An unforgettable experience! 😜🍻

Fascinating paper on evolutionarily conserved mechanisms of S6K in regulating inflammaging, echoing our previous findings nature.com/articles/s4358…. Curious if fibroblasts or macrophages play a role in inflammation in older mice?
Congrats to all the authors! 👏
🚨New research in @NatureAging from the @MRC_LMS reveals that blocking longevity gene S6K1 extends lifespan by reducing inflammation, not by directly influencing cellular senescence. This opens new avenues for treating age-related diseases. 🧬✨

You can find more information about our paper "Inhibition of S6K lowers age-related inflammation and increases lifespan through the endolysosomal system" here:

"The cover image conceptualizes the link to inflammaging by depicting aged flies as confined to a jar (representing the nuclear localization of the Drosophila NFκB-like transcription factor Relish), emitting brighter light (representing upregulation of inflammatory mediators)."
