😂 Nick Ferrari bursts out laughing as Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds is forced to sell the latest government gimmick live on @LBC Reynolds looked thoroughly embarrassed as he tried to sell the plan to scrap import tariffs on a list of “everyday essentials”. When Ferrari asked him which products were included and what the actual savings would be, Reynolds immediately started dampening expectations, sheepishly admitting these were “not huge reductions” before reeling off the list: baked beans, chocolate, gherkins… That’s as far as he got. Ferrari could not contain himself and burst out laughing. 😭 Nick then pointed out that the Conservatives have called the projected saving of £21 per year “derisory”. You could see Reynolds was mortified reading it out. Imagine the brief he opened this morning and realised he had to go on air and sell this to the public. 😬 What a farce. Even on the government’s own figures, this works out at roughly 40p a week for the average household. Forty pence a week. You lucky people. Another pointless gimmick that will have zero material impact on people’s lives.

A very good thought of the day right here.
For heaven’s sake, stop being offended by absolutely everything and get on with living. Be yourself. Say what you think. Laugh at things that are funny, including yourself. Especially yourself, frankly. God knows there’s usually ample material. In a hundred years, you’ll be dead. So will I. Nobody will remember what offended us, what opinion we held, or that someone on the internet called us a name. Your house will belong to somebody else, your possessions will be in a skip, an antique shop or gathering dust in a cupboard belonging to a stranger. And the world will carry on, entirely indifferent to our former existence. We have a remarkably short time on this earth, yet we’ve somehow managed to turn it into an exhausting exercise in making sure nobody disapproves of us. We’re terrified of saying the wrong thing, laughing at the wrong joke or holding the wrong opinion, lest some complete stranger with the emotional resilience of a damp digestive biscuit should take offence. We’ve apparently mistaken being perpetually offended for having a personality. Good Lord. Honestly, think about it. You are going to die. I am going to die. We’re all just temporarily upright collections of bones and bad decisions, pretending we have an eternity to get everything right. So why on earth are you wasting your precious time pretending to be someone you’re not to appease people who probably couldn’t pick you out of a police line-up, let alone remember your name in fifty years? Think for yourself. Have convictions. Change your mind when you’re wrong. Laugh at your own ridiculousness. Say what you believe, and accept that some people will misunderstand you, disapprove of you or decide you’re an absolute bellend. You might be. I certainly have my moments. But at least have the courage to be an authentic bellend rather than spending your entire life as a carefully curated, socially approved version of somebody you don’t even recognise. Because the real tragedy isn’t that you might offend someone. It’s that you reach the end of your life and realise you spent it worrying about what everybody else thought, whilst never quite finding the courage to be yourself. And for what? A few approving nods from people who are going to die too? Pfft! Live. Laugh. Be honest. Be a little ridiculous. Stop taking yourself quite so seriously. You’re not here forever, darling. And frankly, even if you were, that would be pushing it. 🎩💜

If you missed the "Thank You Sir Kev" documentary last night on the BBC, it is well worth a watch. I know it's the BBC and everyone hates them, but this one is good!! What a humble, lovely caring man and the best friend that Rob Burrows could ever have. Just everything about this documentary made me emotional. It also showed Rob Burrows' beautiful daughter speaking so well and she has a gorgeous huge smile just like her dad. I can't recommend this enough!! But have the tissues ready!! Sir Kev!! 💖💖

How can Chris Brown bottle someone in a nightclub and get a suspended sentence, but Danny Tommo sticks a pen knife in a rubber boat and is immediately put on remand until March? Our justice system is a laughing stock!

Are journalists supposed to report the news, or manufacture a narrative to rehabilitate Meghan Markle’s image? And is The Sun working overtime to make sure we all get the memo? Clemmie Moodie calls it a “thumping vindication.” The Telegraph pushes the “relief and vindication” angle. Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley debate whether public opinion of Meghan should change. Jonny Dymond at the BBC discusses the vindication narrative, while Roya Nikkhah at The Sunday Times, Chris Ship at ITV and Matt Wilkinson at The Sun amplify the protective-letter narrative and the Met’s confirmation. The message is unmistakable: we should now understand why Meghan cut contact with her father, and apparently that should change how we view everything else she has done. But vindication of WHAT, exactly? Whatever the truth of the allegations against Thomas Markle, which he denies and which remain under investigation, his situation is a separate family matter. If Meghan had reasons to protect her children, that is one issue. It does not erase seven years of public accusations, interviews, documentaries and grievances directed at the Royal Family. For years, we were given a different account of the estrangement. There were the staged paparazzi photographs, the media cooperation and the private letter that became the subject of a privacy lawsuit. In the 2021 Oprah interview, Meghan spoke about having “lost” her father as part of the cost of becoming a royal. In the Netflix series, Harry said he shouldered the blame because “if Meg wasn’t with me, then her dad would still be her dad.” Those were the explanations presented to the public. Now, with new allegations emerging, we are being served a fresh narrative of maternal protection and long-overdue vindication. So why are journalists not pressing harder on the timeline, the earlier explanations and what the public was told at the time? And why is The Sun working overtime to push this story from allegations against Thomas Markle into a broader rehabilitation of Meghan’s image? Reporting the developments is one thing. Turning them into a redemption arc is quite another. There is also an uncomfortable question surrounding Meghan’s public advocacy for children’s safety and online privacy. If she was aware of serious allegations involving children from 2018 onwards, how does that timeline sit alongside her public campaigning? That is a legitimate question, not an accusation of wrongdoing. Most importantly, what does any of this have to do with her treatment of the Royal Family? The Oprah interview still happened. The Netflix series still happened. The public accusations, the repeated airing of private grievances and the damage to family relationships do not disappear because a disturbing new story has emerged about her father. You can sympathise with a family estrangement without absolving someone of everything else. You can take allegations seriously without pretending every criticism of Meghan was unjustified. The journalists pushing this vindication narrative need to explain why a private family matter is being used to reassess an entirely separate public record. Meghan’s relationship with her father does not rewrite the last eight years. And it certainly does not give her a clean slate. Sympathy is not vindication. Stop confusing the two.

Talking to my SIL, a detective in AFP, who specialises in cyber crime, he mentioned 4 things. 1. LG changed their phone chargers regularly, and we know we are talking about a phone that is minimum 10 years old, because that’s when TMJ first mentioned it. 2. An LG phone could not back up pics to the cloud. 3. Which Phone carrier did TMSr have in the Philippines ? 4. They can just pull the records and know when that phone has been accessed. See if the dates match this time around.

What is better than sitting on the sofa on a stormy afternoon, knitting needles clacking and Grease on TV. 😁 This is my all time favourite film and I have watched it so many times, well over 100, I am sure. I just have to sing along at the top of my voice. It makes me feel like a 12 year old again, which was the age I first watched it.

In the book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, royal biographer Andrew Morton notes that Samantha and Thomas Jr relocated back to Los Angeles to live with their father and his new partner (and future wife) Doria Ragland before Meghan was born. They would have only been young teenagers at the time. So, Meghan Markle would have us believe that their mother, Roslyn Loveless, who raised them until their early teens following her divorce from Thomas Markle Sr, sent them back to live with the man who she believed to be a child abuser?? And that in 2019, after waiting another almost 40 years, she wrote a letter to the UK Met Police alerting them to these concerns? Not the FBI, not the US authorities - the UK Met Police who initially claimed they couldn’t find the letter? Nope 👎 @TheRoyalGrift @insiderlauren @MeghansMole

Another sobering post. We need to act NOW!! We cannot delay and let out country slip any further down the route it is going.
MY FORECAST FOR THE UK. A WARNING FROM FRANCE. 🇬🇧 France is the gateway to Britain. Our closest major continental neighbour, a major trading partner and a country through which vast numbers of people and goods pass on their way to the UK. That makes France a powerful indicator of what could happen here next. It’s like watching history unfold, but in real time. Truth be told, I believe France is losing its national identity. In many of the places I’ve visited, France simply doesn’t feel French anymore. And I fear that in another ten years, another generation, the changes we’re witnessing could become irreversible. Britain needs to act NOW. Not tomorrow. Not next week. NOW. Minor political disagreements need putting aside because, in my opinion, we’re approaching a different kind of conflict. Not one fought with conventional weapons, but one involving demographics, birth rates, immigration, borders and national identity. The future of a country is shaped not just by its history, but by the decisions its people make today. Secure our borders. Stop illegal immigration. Demand political accountability. Protect our national identity. The clocks went back an hour today. I wish we could turn them back twenty years. Call this my Rasputin post. After everything I’ve witnessed, I am more convinced than ever that Britain is approaching a crossroads. And the longer we refuse to confront difficult questions, the fewer choices we’ll have. Apologies for a negative post on a Sunday. I’m about to board a plane in a storm, but frankly, it’s the storm I see gathering back home that worries me more. My final message is simple: don’t just read this, shake your head and carry on with your Sunday. Ask questions. Challenge your representatives. Demand answers. Make your voice heard, peacefully and democratically. Because if we leave the decisions about Britain’s future to everyone but ourselves, we cannot complain when we don’t recognise the country we’ve become. The time to take responsibility for our future is now. I’m just the guy who films things and shows you what’s actually happening, it’s up to you to make an informed judgement Adrian
