Only Chadwick could embody Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall, and T’Challa. He, too, knew what it meant to persevere. To summon real strength. And he belongs right there with them as a hero—for Black kids and for all our kids. There’s no better gift to give our world. ❤

Chadwick Boseman's SNL sketch about Karen and her potato salad was freaking legendary. Dammit.

A little update — The GOP lawyer who helped @kanyewest get on the ballot in Wisconsin is actively working for @realDonaldTrump's campaign. She's the lawyer of record in their lawsuit to try to get a @prioritiesUSA anti-Trump ad pulled. Original story: vice.com/en_us/article/akzy3…

There were tweets stating it was just arsonists/anarchists/“anti-fa” still outside the courthouse. I witnessed a mix of older protesters up until about 1:30am. I also did not see any identifiable clothing/insignias suggesting that statement had any validity to it. Except for Moms – at Portland, OR

I emphasize ONE BLOCK b/c the protest zone is tiny. The city is not UNDER SIEGE or BURNING as many (who aren’t even here) claim. The courthouse being “protected” by Feds is a $129mm concrete/marble bldg that is essentially a fortress. Fireworks aren’t going to burn it down. – at Portland, OR

Just before 11pm, I was on the steps of the Justice Center where a speaker asked everyone to turn their phone flashlights on & chant #BlackLivesMatter. I heard some booms around that time, unclear on who had started it. Protesters then made their way ONE BLOCK to the courthouse.

This narrative that black people who want an accurate reflection of history are "angry and resentful" leaves us with one logical takeaway:
White people don't want to know history because they can't handle the truth.
A thread.

From Minneapolis to Fort Lauderdale, LA to NYC ... police brutality runs deep in countless police departments. And a lack of transparency delays justice for so many communities of color across America. We need change NOW!! – at Fort Lauderdale, FL

“Did you see me f**k up those motherf****rs?” Fort Lauderdale officers Zachary Baro and Jamie Chatman thought their body cams weren’t recording. Thankfully they were WRONG — and now we know how they actually feel about protestors. – at Fort Lauderdale, FL

People need to understand how huge this is. Maya Moore is one of the most decorated basketball players of all time and she halted her career IN HER PRIME to right an injustice. This is just amazing.
WNBA star Maya Moore sat out the entire season last year and helped overturn the conviction of Jonathan Irons, who was serving a 50-year prison sentence.
He was finally released today.
