Our Superstar teachers and students are shining bright!! 🌟
📚✏️ NCS: In the Classroom is back for the 2026-2027 school year! Our first stop took us to Heard-Mixon Elementary School, where teaching and learning were in full swing! Second graders were reviewing sight words and synonyms, while fourth graders explored themes and how they can be applied to tell a story. Fifth graders strengthened their writing skills by using conjunctions to create new sentences, and gifted students tackled complex vocabulary by learning new words and illustrating examples of each. It was a great way to kick off another year of NCS: In the Classroom as we continue giving you a look at teaching and learning happening every day across Newton County Schools!
