The Stein and Belo rumors confirmed. Kevin Geary is a new name I hadn't heard rumored. Good to see the front office being built out. #SportingKC

Kansas City Comets
@KCComets12h
🚨He went No. 2 overall in the MLS SuperDraft. He debuted for Paderborn in the Bundesliga against Bayern Munich. He spent 7 seasons with Sporting KC. Khiry Shelton is taking his talent to the @MASLarena, signing as a Comet for the next three years.

The Current were claiming 18,000 yesterday, but I have to agree with Mike. If only 11,500 are in the stadium, that's all that can be counted. Can't count the watch party outside. #KCBaby
Mike@downthebylineOct 26
For those curious, the Current's record attendance is still 15,617, the announced attendance for their 6-3 win over Chicago at Sporting Park on 10/7/2023. Despite what the team says.

On the 2nd KC goal, Hal Hershfelt went down injured. Melissa Bethi replaces her. Very early sub. #KCBaby #KCvWSH

Hopkins forces a turnover in the box, taps it to Bethune who lays it off to DiBernardo to put KC ahead early! 2-1 #KCBaby #KCvWSH

Woof. Bad touch from Lorena and Luvanga with the tap in. BUT THE KC CURRENT RESPOND IMMEDIATELY WITH A LO LABONTA GOAL! 1-1! #KCBaby #KCvWSH

The KC Current are all over the Washington Spirit for the opening stretch of the game. Just one shot in 8 minutes. They need to capitalize on all this pressure. #KCBaby #KCvWSH

With the team attempting to to put 11,500 in stadium (accomplished) and thousands more outside in Current Landing, the KC Current added some bleachers on the river and screens out there too. #KCBaby

Update: #SportingKC can still win this. They JUST need to beat FC Dallas and Minnesota... No problem, right?
Chad Smith@PlayFor90Oct 22
Did you know #SportingKC can win a trophy this year? Saturday against Austin and the upcoming games against Minnesota United and FC Dallas are critical to the I-35 Cup. Sure, it's made up. But it's the little things in 2026. i35cup.com/

Ball over the top to Wolff who chest it down and also puts it just wide. That would have been a spectacular goal. #SportingKC #SKCvATX

Wolff did confirm to us he accidently handled this ball when trying to chest it down.

Wicky's quote, "not going to go into a back five," seems to be firing a lot of folks up. But it makes sense in the full context of the exchange with @playfor90. Here's the transcript from his post-game press conference. #SportingKC
