👀 UCLA GM Max Feldman on offers/NIL in 2026:
“The most important thing with an offer is when you’re offered money. It’s not when your’e offered a scholarship you can post on Twitter.”
UCLA GM Max Feldman explains why an early scholarship offer may not mean what families think it does.
In today’s NIL era, he says rankings and social media announcements can distract from development—and the real offer is when actual money is attached.

A representative from Jaylen Brown’s team told ESPN that reports that he demanded a trade or presented the Celtics with a list of demands are “10000% a lie.”
Brown never requested a trade to Milwaukee, the representative said. After the deal fell through and Boston informed him he’d be traded, his only request was to have input on his destination.

Damian Lillard on the darkest point of his career:

The Miami Heat start a new season tonight.
With that in mind, I was asked to make 10 predictions about a brand new squad in an unpredictable Eastern Conference for the 2026-27 season.
So, here are those bold (and not so bold) predictions, at @TheAthletic:nytimes.com/athletic/7704696…

There's an odd comfort in starting an NBA season and knowing the Bucks are not going to be good. It's a familiar place. I know what it's like here. Basically every pre-Giannis year was like this. I enjoyed it then, and I'll enjoy it now. I'm excited about Burries, excited about Rollins. I'm talking myself into guys. I'm scouting cheap ticket deals. It's not going to be painful when we lose. We are so back.
