I recently had the invite and opportunity to visit the David Posnack JCC here in South Florida and spend some time with Scott, Jeff and Randy. Meeting was planned for an hour but we talked for almost 3 hours and they also gave me a tour of the JCC facility. Honestly, my heart was really touched by what I saw. The JCC is helping so many people from different backgrounds who are in need. One thing that really stood out to me was seeing kids with special needs learning cooking, catering and other important life skills. They are also helping prepare meals that are served to their community’s senior citizens and elderly people. To me, that is such a beautiful thing. The kids are learning new skills and gaining confidence, while at the same time helping people who need a warm meal and some support. Kind of killing two birds with one stone, or better said, solving two problems with one strategy. I have supported the JCC and their charity efforts since 2012 and even won their charity tournament (attached picture and a nice trophy 🏆 they offer for this), and after seeing their work firsthand, I felt even more strongly about supporting them. I am definitely not a professional poker player or a celebrity. 🙂 I just genuinely love supporting charities and good causes whenever I can as a local businessman and a recreational tournament Poker player. The JCC invited me to be one of their hosts for this year’s charity poker event. They were kind enough to offer to cover the host’s buy in, but I told them I would be more than happy to cover my own buy-in so that we can hopefully raise even more money for this amazing cause 🤞💯. Really grateful to the JCC team for everything they are doing🙏🏼 So I am looking forward to seeing all my friends there.
