Currently have Drew Mestemaker at 30th overall on my big board, because while the traits are popping, there’s still some issues with his footwork getting hurried under pressure, and he’s got a tendency to drift backward too often rather than step up with consistency.
Not to mention Eric Morris’ offense gives a lot more answers to the test than usual, meaning I’ve still got questions on his abilities to progress to his second and third reads consistently.
He’s got an early second round grade for me, and reminds me an awful lot of Derek Carr during his early years. If someone took him in round 1, I’d understand, but they’d better be willing to sit him for a bit à la Mendoza just to get him started on the right trajectory imo. #NFLDraft
I can’t wait to see what he tweets when the Pokes send Tech to the Texas Bowl.
