I would like nothing more in this moment to feel unified as a political bloc heading into Election Day but sadly that has not happened - and that is because progressive candidates had the audacity to win primaries against establishment darlings and Establishment Dems and Regressive Democrats have been swinging harder at them than they have at MAGA ever since.
It’s clear at this late hour of the midterm election cycle that remaining silent about this behavior has only emboldened it so I feel compelled to call it out.
I have been consistently horrified by the way in which high ranking Regressive Democrats have spent this election cycle attacking our Progressive candidates like Dr. Abdul El Sayed instead of doing everything in their power to build voter alliances and ensure that we surge to the polls and win the midterms to protect our country, the planet, democracy, and human rights everywhere from the Republican Party.
That feeling has only increased exponentially as today Regressives like Nancy Pelosi and his primary opponent Haley Stevens decided to come out swinging just four days before Election Day to further erode his support in the Michigan citizenry.
Let it be known that Haley Stevens has a history of endorsing Republicans and her finance who just announced he is voting for MAGA Mike Rogers has regularly donated to Republicans like Susan Collins.
So to be clear establishment and Regressive Democrats who have spent months complaining Stevens would have been a better candidate than Dr. El Sayed instead of helping him win this election either did not properly vet her or are actively trying to put another John Fetterman in the Senate.
Neither of these options are good and even more disturbing is the cacophony of Democrats who have decided to pretend Dr El Sayed had anything to do with the ad the Young Turk’s Cenk Uygur put out and have demanded he disavow this along with the Muslim Brotherhood which he also has nothing to do with.
It’s beyond disgraceful - and RegessiveDemocrats have no idea how lucky they are - that he has stayed in this fight -and that despite being forced to fight MAGA, AIPAC, and his own party he is still ahead in the polls.
In light of this latest round of establishment attacks I have cancelled my afternoon plans tomorrow and will be spending hours phone banking for Dr. El Sayed - because Regressive Democrats may think we can afford to lose in Michigan but the rest of us know we cannot.
The people are rising up across party lines to support common sense candidates like Dr. El Sayed and Democrats can either figure this out or get left behind.
I just hope this asinine Regressive hubris doesn’t cost us a Senate majority in this election or we are all going to lose.

With Haley Stevens’s fiance coming out as a Republican donor and supporter, it's time to look at how we got to this point.
The narrative of this campaign has been set by the Republicans, and then by the centrist Democrats and "liberal" media who give the Republican attacks airtime—or even echo and repeat them from the primary all the way to the general.
In this demonstration, we can look at how often centrist talking heads and mainstream media voices align on their narrative creation around progressive candidates.
Progressives need to work twice as hard to win, because the campaign to beat them comes from both sides of the establishment, and starts in the primary.
The three polarizing issues that will ensure that the Democratic establishment will work against a candidate: Healthcare, challenging unconditional support for Israel, and taking on Big Tech/Oil.
Abdul El-Sayed is the trifecta, and he's popular. It's a dangerous combination to those with entrenched political power. Despite all the efforts to beat him, nothing has succeeded.
That is why they are now getting very desperate, and being very obvious in ways that they usually don't have to be. Usually, the DSCC can simply cut off independent expenditure funding, and that's enough to sink a candidate.
But this time, Abdul El-Sayed is set to win anyway.
Putting work like this together is expensive and takes a lot of time, and I have no big donors, only a few small donors. Unlike centrist/Republican content, there are no billionaires lining up to support small left content creators. If you can, support me on Ko-fi, Patreon, or Substack. Links are all in bio.
Hailey Steven’s finance is a Republican and she has also endorsed and donated to Republicans over the years.
Why is the Democratic establishment trying to push these people into positions of power while actually trashing Democrats like Abdul El Sayed?
Really need @neeratanden to watch this

The butthurt handling of this primary defeat by Haley Stevens and now her fiance after they had tens of millions in outside money spent on her behalf is appalling. The next SecDef or a Trump SCOTUS judge is on the line here! Totally pathetic & reveals that the loss was deserved

EL-SAYED to TRUMP: I will go through a metal detector if you will sit for a lie detector. My first question, Epstein. Second question, did you win the 2020 election? I will go through a metal detector every day if you sit through a lie detector one time.

We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account.

Ken Paxton’s own lawyer endorses James Talarico:
“I defended Ken Paxton for years in the impeachment trial and in state criminal cases. But in my view, I think Ken has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.
And unlike Ken, I believe that you, James, believe in unity over division and that you know how to assemble not only Democrats but Independents and Republicans and we need that right now.
We need unity, we don't need any more division and that's why I'm supporting you.”
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes.
Dolores Hurta endured more for the movement in the silence she kept about the abuse she endured from Ceasar Chavez than any single woman should ever have to endure and we owe so much to her in understanding how to organize and how to believe in the power of the people.
Rest in power Dolores Huerta

Abdul El-Sayed: “We are being actively bullied by the dumbest people in the room. Donald Trump is an idiot. He has one genius which is getting attention. Because his dad never gave him enough, because he was a nepo baby, he craved attention and used the bullying tactics to get it. But the man is an idiot. Just a fool”
