A3: I actually spend most of my time on the top deck. In Alaska, I secured my spot on the bow and stayed for 18 hours. #CruiseHour

Spent some time visiting my aunt for lunch, then spent the afternoon out in the wine country. This time I went to Chateau Montelena, Beringer Winery, and Beaulieu in Calistoga and St. Helena. I'm not into wine culture, but I appreciate the history and beauty. #CA #Roadtrip

I've been to Sutro Baths several times. Here's what it looks like now. I also had a birthday lunch at the Cliff House before it was shut down.
The average person cannot fathom the former glory of San Francisco

I've been to 40 countries / 6 continents. I'm happiest when I'm alone and out in nature, or at least seeing someplace new. It makes me feel more alive. And yeah, I've never found where I belong or what my purpose is. I'm deeply disillusioned with people and have lost so much.
unfortunately as i’ve gotten older i’ve learned that having an incessant need to travel does in fact mean you’re running away from something

In one drive? Probably San Francisco to Las Vegas. That's at least 10 hours without any rests.
My American friend in Tokyo asked how far I drive to see my parents. "Two hours," I said. "Oh nice. So they live close." Close?? In Japan, two hours is a trip. We stop at a rest area. We buy souvenirs. We text the family "we made it." Tokyo to Osaka is about 6 hours by car. Japanese people talk about that drive like it was the Oregon Trail. Then he casually mentioned he once drove 14 hours. For a wedding. And drove back the next day. So I need to hear this from more of you. What's the longest drive you've ever done in one go? From where to where? πŸš— (Texans: "Texas to Texas" counts.)

Skip forward a while, and I've been to 40 countries / 6 continents. My photography is awesome. I've become an iconic video game reviewer with a huge readership for over 20 years. I have 3 degrees and love learning. I was an exemplary family caregiver. No one will ever stop me.

Las Vegas. I don't drink or gamble, so I have no interest in casinos. I've walked The Strip to do photography. Whenever I go, I use it as a starting point to visit nearby state and national parks. The last time, I didn't even go to the city; I was there because my dad was dying.

Travel is also one of my motivations. I love exploring the world, so it's important that I stay healthy enough to see it. People younger than me already complain about their backs/joints. Meanwhile, I spend much of my free time hiking and taking photos. It's beautiful outside.
