As a teen, I had no iPhone, no social media. I spent hours listening to music, reading, learning how to play my favourite songs, thinking about God, staring at the ceiling feeling existential. It was the making of me. I pity a generation deprived of that blessed boredom.

A prisoner will be electrocuted tomorrow night in Nashville in spite of pleas of commutation to life from the jury who convicted him, a victim's family, & the former warden & prison officials.The Governor & State Supreme Court refuse to intervene. A shameful day for our state.
