Based on a physical painting, I made this 1/1 digital work that I dropped today at Ninfa 🔗👇🔥✨
Floating bars in a cathedral suspended from terrestrial limitations while transcending the ordinary and encompassing a wider reality.
This piece is part of Firmamento, an artistic research that I started in 2019 at RU Residency Unlimited NYC. Since then I have been exhibiting Firmamento paintings, drawings and videos in art galleries and institutions. For me this piece is important also because it signals a transitioning to my new research on plants.
Cathedral (bars) is now exhibited at the group exhibition Montagne Sacre until June 1 at Artra Gallery, Milan.

HM&C artist Debora Hirsch delves into the realm of digital art related to blockchain, NFTs, and the metaverse. Along with Martin Gimenez Larralde, an artist from Argentina, they founded 1500Labs and are interested in exploring the themes of consumerism in the fashion and luxury industry. Hirsch and Gimenez Larralde captured images of storefronts and objects along Milan’s Quadrilatero della Moda and transformed them into mysterious archaeological relics that could have been symbols of status in the past. This transformation represents the “hyper-temporal nature of these superfluous objects,” where past, present, and future merge into the synthesis of images created by 1500Labs.
