Huge news! The commission has adopted implementing regulations that detail the core functionalities of European Digital Identity Wallets as well as how certification will work.
This means citizens can now expect wallets by the end of 2026!

Lancement ce matin en présence de @jnbarrot de Potential, projet européen remporté par le ministère de l’Interieur pour la construction d'une identité numérique européenne.
A l'automne, @france_identite mettra à disposition un permis de conduire dématérialisé dans 3 départements expérimentateurs. Il sera ensuite généralisé dans toute la France. Grâce à Potential, ce permis sera à terme utilisable dans toute l'UE.
