As electricity demand grows, the challenge isn’t just building new generation—it’s ensuring the grid can deliver that power where and when it’s needed.
A new op-ed by David Blackmon highlights how competitive power suppliers are responding to market signals. In @PJMInterconnect alone, 800+ projects representing 220+ GW of proposed capacity have applied to connect to the grid.
But generation is only part of the equation. The challenge is shifting from securing more power supply to ensuring it is delivered efficiently and affordably.
Competitive power markets are attracting investment and bringing forward new supply. Now the focus should be on ensuring the infrastructure is in place to connect and deliver that power to customers.

David Taylor absolutely nails here. Competition is a big reason that PA is the energy leader that it is. Hard to believe that some interests would seek to undo that.
