This song seizes on the moment Dave from Colorado met Chrissy from Tasmania β and her mesmerizing effect on him, which later resulted in their marriage and move to Tasmania.
"I came from an underworld of snow,
She from a windy dune."
Sarong Song is from The Soul Fox, a cycle composed in 2013 by Lori Laitman (@Vocalcomposer) to a poem by David Mason, her frequent collaborator. In it she sets Masonβs autobiographical poems to create a narrative about the upheaval in his life as his marriage dissolved.
Join us on Saturday for the YouTube premiere of our new film "Sarong Song" by Lori Laitman. A captivating performance by @kittywhately and @SimonLepper gorgeously illustrated by @ianarchiebeck.
