I’m alive and well and not hung over. I just finished cramming eggs and potatoes in my mouth and I’m on my second coffee.
Have a beautiful Wednesday!
I’ve had several drinks, and I’ve made friends who are making me do double shots of something called rumplemints or crumplemints or something?
Oh boy.
Plant tours are done, now lunch, then classroom time for the afternoon, dinner and more drinks.
And I’m getting the most random texts from my own guys, with things that basically never happen, but are happening now, just because I’m away, I swear.
I hope your Tuesday is fabulous.
Nothing is more humbling than an airport bathroom mirror.
Also, my two seat mates for the first flight are priests. I’m between them in all my red-headed, non-christian, tattooed glory, and I can’t help smiling because the universe has a great sense of humour this morning.
Spent four hours at work this morning getting my billing done and working on a new project I haven’t had time to look at all week.
I also managed to get my unread emails below 100 for the first time in about five months, so that’s pretty fucking sweet.
Reminding the guys to text when I’m away next week.
Dude 1: Milwaukee? Careful. There’s lots of blue hairs there, super liberal.
Me: I’ll fit in then, as I’m a red haired liberal.
Dude 2: You are not.
Me: I am.
Dude 1: No fucking way.
Me: And you guys love me.
Dude 2: I’m shook.
My favourite ice cream is vanilla.
Favourite doughnut is old fashioned plain.
But I’ll do that thing you like. And probably a few things you don’t know you’ll like.
Weirdly, I like going to therapy. I’ll happily confront my demons, my flaws, and my history in an effort to help myself.
But today it was tough, and I cried.
An installer has been miserable about every site lately. His attitude grates on the guys and I’ve quietly addressed it with him, but today he directed it at me, with an audience.
Me: No one has time for a tantrum today, Ty. Fix your attitude or go home.
*laughs in mom*
