ALT Tell the Board of Estimates What our COLA means to you! Our COLA is on the agenda for the December 4th, 2024 Board of Estimates meeting! Send a Statement of support to [email protected] by noon the day before the meeting (12pm, December 3rd) to let them know you support your local library workers! Be sure to write the date of the meeting and title of the agenda item in the subject line: "12/4, Memorandum of Agreement between the Enoch Pratt Free Library and the Pratt Workers United, AFSCME Maryland Council 3." Indicate whether you want to address the board at the actual meeting or just to have your statement noted.
ALT You can use the sample letter below as a guide: "My name is (...) and I am a patron of the Enoch Pratt Free Library. I support the Memorandum of Agreement between the Enoch Pratt Free Library and the Pratt Workers United, AFSCME Maryland Council 3. Supporting my local library workers in their fight for better wages and working conditions is important to me as a patron of the library and as a taxpayer. I (do / do not) wish to address the board."
