Tune in Wednesday for a new episode of #PuckBums You definitely won't hear me blindly defend the current direction of the team and the rebuild. It's gonna get ugly.
The presence of @RealFansProgram is sorely missed here.

It was #OTD in 2016 that World Series baseball returned to Wrigley Field for the first time since 1945. Kyle Hendricks pitched 4 1/3 shutout innings, but Josh Tomlin and the Indians bullpen shut the #Cubs offense out. Pinch hitter Coco Crisp had an RBI single in the 7th off Carl Edwards and that’s all the runs the Indians would need. The Cubs had runners at second and third in the 9th with 2 outs, but Javy Baéz struck out as the Cubs lost 1-0 and trailed Cleveland in the series 2 games to 1

This doesn't make sense to me. You're such a big fan that you want World Series winning merch, but not a big enough fan to just watch and enjoy the actual moment? (felt the same about people just hanging out at the Wrigley marquee, don't you want to see the moment?!)
Bottom of the 12th. Brewers lead 3-2. People are already in line for merch. #Brewers

Just think, there was champagne in the Brewers clubhouse tonight. The lockers were covered. And it was all for naught. What a shame.

Can’t wait to see what Ariel Armas does for the Cubs in next year’s World Series
A year ago, Cooper Pratt posted a sub-.700 OPS for the Biloxi Shuckers. Now, he’s a World Series legend.

Clearly a team can’t win a World Series without a game deciding extra innings game these days.

Taco Bell not doing “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” for the World Series is a recession indicator.

I think a lot of us (including me) want to take every Brewer game as a "See the Cubs should be doing this" thing and there absolutely is some truth to it but let me offer my perspective: I think one of the reasons I tweet/talk about Milwaukee so much is because how dismissive so many Cubs people (including people who work for the team) HAD been about their recent success. Boog literally called their run last year fluky and unlikely to happen again during a broadcast. Now, it's "well Milwaukee is so great everyone is chasing them." but for YEARS it was luck luck luck because that's what the data said. And by the way, Cubs people weren't the only ones. Their over under win total opened at 83.5 THIS YEAR!!!! Add in the fact that we took their manager and there's a lot there. With all that being said, I am ready to move on from it. The facts are there. There's no reason to bang the drum anymore. They're going to win the World Series and we have plenty of work to do. I still think the Cubs are a top 10 (ish) org in the sport. Now they have to figure out how to get to the next level. Sadly, it doesn't happen in one off-season. It's years and years of the right processes. The Cubs started becoming an elite org in October of 2011 when they hired Theo and didn't see the real on field benefits until 2015 etc. Hopefully they can make that happen but yeah I'm bored during lunch and I know tonight is gonna be wild on here when they sweep so I wanted to get this out.
