🆕 Pickleballs🚨
FRANKLIN X-44™ PERFORMANCE dropped TODAY
Selkirk S2 Pro dropped recently
Both have taken aim at the LifeTime Pro-48 w/ higher pace, better bounce + roundness retention than previous standard.
They also claim better visibility than Lifetime green.
Thoughts?

Kyle Koszuta is now a @PPAtour signed pro
@KyleKoszuta informed his audience via his newsletter (if you don't subscribe - you should) that he has signed a contract to play exclusively with the PPA and MLP
Big things for one of the sport's largest content creators!

🚨Injury Alert – Lea Jansen out🚨
Lea has shared with me that she has a fractured patella in her left leg. She will not be playing in this week's Virginia Beach Open.
Being the badass that she is, Lea has been playing on the injured leg since May in MLP. She felt like her athletic ability was compromised, but she powered through. It took an MRI to finally find the root cause of her pain.
She is figuring out the best steps to a full recovery with her doctors and how to get back to playing at 100% as quickly as possible.
Best of wishes in recovery, Lea!

PPA’s decision to start matches at 2pm is a terrible one. Especially for R64/32/16. Latest matches today are scheduled to start around 9pm local time and I am sure
many will start later. Local fans would need to stay till 11pm! Anyone in central or eastern time zones will not stay up to watch pickleball at midnight. Matches should start at 10am and thus finish by 7-8pm local time.

Phenomenal read if you care 1 iota about the product that is professional Pickleball
@RossChaifetz of the @STLShockMLP asked me a fair question after I called MLP unserious: how so, and what would you do about it?
He deserved a real answer instead of a quote tweet, so I spent a week on one. Here's what I would fix:

It’s gotta be exhausting to ask/answer the question “what makes ALW so special” on the broadcast every single time she plays

What a way to close out the 2026 MLP season. 🙌
Sunday’s #MLPFinals on CBS averaged 773,000 viewers, setting a new all-time league record and becoming the second-most-watched professional pickleball event in history—up 55% from last year’s Finals on CBS!
Your energy matched it. More than 10k fans packed CityPickle at Wollman Rink across the weekend, setting a new MLP single-event attendance record as @the5spickleball claimed their first season-long championship. 🏆️
Thank you to every fan who watched, cheered, and made this season the best yet.
