Finally reached the last day of term!!! 8 long, long weeks of a first term with a double cohort of new Reception children has been a wild ride and I am throughly ready for a rest π€£ roll on half term! π₯³
Happy last week of Autumn 1 π
when I tell you I am struggling at the moment π΄ more than ready for a break (even if it is just a week Iβm in desperate need of a break!)
Still two more weeks left to go of Autumn 1 and then only 1 week off before Autumn 2 starts π September to December are killer months at school π΄ the whole Autumn term is hard!

We do in Reception for most of the year! (Then, in the summer term they start coming in wearing P.E kits like they would in Year 1)

I donβt know what schools theyβve been in but I can tell you for a fact weβve never served fried eggs or coco pops π€£
Also worrying about the potential amount of food waste to come if children are served chickpeas and lentils when they wonβt even eat whatβs on the menu now!
Last day of the first full week back (which Iβm counting as week 2 π€£) and wow was it a struggle to get up this morning! End of the first week back tiredness has well & truly kicked inβ¦may be asleep all day tomorrow! On the bright side our new EYFS have been amazing this week.π
5 online staff training courses done (all on 2x speed to get through them quicker π€£) crazy weβve had so much time off over summer but have to have the training certificates done by the end of the first week back! But itβs done and ticked off the list now.π₯³
Well, what a busy first week back it has been! All our children have done their half days this week and have settled in beautifully - ready to start full time from next week! (It really makes a difference for us as staff to build those relationships and bonds early) βΊοΈ
Ahh Iβve had a gorgeous day with our brand new little superstars in Reception on their first day at school! All settled so well (only a few tears) and had a lovely time playing and getting to know each other. π₯°β€οΈ Excited for this year ahead with such a wonderful cohort!
Happy 1st day of September and the first day of the new school year! I hope you all have a smooth transition back to school and a great year ahead. π₯°
