Of the 3 major Oyo State candidates:
one has had about 16 years of opportunity to serve the people, but nothing to show.
Another had 8 years to make meaningful impact, but ran us into debt.
But, someone, without being at the corridor of power has touched many lives with the little he has.
We the people know who have our vote easily. It’s too clear.

Almost a year ago, Governor Seyi Makinde approved ₦63.4 billion for the reconstruction of structures at the Government House, alongside ₦131,751,530 for the employment of professional gardeners.
Questions remain about the implementation of these approvals. Where have the funds gone, and what tangible results have been delivered?
All eyes on ọmọ Makinde nílùú Ìbàdàn! 👀

I agree with Oriyomi Hamzat. Local governments can only develop Oyo State if they're actually empowered to function, not starved of autonomy and turned into appendages of the state government.
While OH speaks to what communities actually need, Makinde calls it a “distraction,” and Bimbo Adekanmbi, clearly working under Seyi's direction, calls it “impossible.”
Both of them, same script, working together to keep power centralized and keep Oyo State's development tied down.

ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTONOMY
Let us be clear!
Frame 1: “It’s nothing but a distraction.”
- Seyi Makinde
Frame 2: “Local governments will develop Oyo State under my watch.”
- Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat
Frame 3: “Local Government Autonomy is impossible. I can’t give Local Government Autonomy.”
- Bimbo Adekanmbi

News reaching me is that Oyo PMS has mandated every member to wear APM-branded clothes and caps, reportedly sold for ₦7,000. The allegation is that anyone who refuses to wear them risks losing their job.
Well, ohun tí ń tàn ní ọdún eegún…

Today, I was at Ojoo Bus Terminal, and I noticed that almost every bus had a large APM sticker on its rear windshield. Some drivers reportedly said they were being forced to display the stickers. About 90% of the buses I saw today had APM stickers.
Oyo State is becoming a place where politics is treated as a do-or-die affair, and that should not be happening.
A woman even said that no matter what they do, the people have wised up. They already know who they want to vote for.
Anyway, they have only a few months left, and the people are watching. The good people of Oyo State will decide their future.
They may use their power to force people to do certain things, but they cannot force people to vote for them. As we approach 2027, people are ready to protect their votes and make sure their choices count.
Perhaps this is what the 3.0 agenda is all about. Oyo State deserves better than politics built on pressure and intimidation.
