Heterosexual couples make up over 90% of IVF consumers. They account for 99% of abortions. They account for at least 60% of surrogacies. They have successfully normalized divorce to the point where almost half of marriages end in it. And yet, people like @Advo_Katy and organizations like @MakeKidsGreater or @ThemBeforeUs hide behind the guise of "protecting children" and "defending marriage" to destroy the equal rights and status of homosexuals in this country. Notice that the profile banner in Katy's profile is not "END ABORTION" or "END DIVORCE" or "END GRISWOLD" or "END IVF" or "END SURROGACY"... it is "END OBERGEFELL." Obergefell, the decision that merely applied the right to marry people regardless of sex. Their argument is "protecting the children." I am confident that even if Obergefell banned homosexual couples from having or adopting children, Katy and those with her would still advocate for same-sex marriage to be banned. Do not think that these individuals are motivated by their concern for children, they are not. They are motivated by their personal disgust towards homosexuals and homosexuality, which they then use their religion to justify, and then attempt to secularize under the guise of "protecting children." Obergefell, thankfully, will not be overturned. As Amy Coney Barrett explained in a recent interview, Obergefell has essential and core reliance interests that Roe lacked. It has been engrained into American society, and millions of families have formed on its basis. The overturn of Obergefell would destroy millions of families and marriages in America. The Supreme Court recently denied the appeal by Kim Davis to revisit the case, and Obergefell remains and will remain settled law. I hope Katy and those who are supporting this campaign are able to do something more meaningful with their time, maybe pushing for the end to the ongoing mass-slaughter of millions of children each year via abortion in America.
