WATCH AND VOTE RED NEW JERSEY!
Marc Elias's name just landed in the "second Dan Sullivan" scandal.
The New York Times reports that Peltola aides, DSCC staffers and the CAMPAIGN'S LAWYERS helped push a retired teacher named Daniel J. Sullivan to run against Sen. Dan Sullivan.
Peltola's lawyers in Alaska?
Elias Law Group, which is now fighting Trump's DOJ to make sure the result gets certified.
Mark Halperin says Elias's firm was involved in the search. That's his claim, and the firm didn't respond to Reuters.
Peltola's ex-campaign manager said Peltola was "definitely aware."
Peltola and the DSCC deny it. Alaska, vote for the REAL Dan Sullivan. 🇺🇸

Kathy Hochul is an evil woman. The Democratic Party should forfeit her seat because even if she wins, she will be of great consequence to them. Downward spiral for her. She will not escape God’s wrath. She did not denounce evil when she had the chance.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in North Carolina after an HOA just DOUBLED monthly fees to **$2,500/MONTH** for homeowners who were paying just $158/month just five years ago...
...and the homeowners say the HOA board tried to charge homeowners $7,500/MONTH JUST IN HOA FEES!!!!!!!
On Monday night, the board backed off $7,500...
...but voted to DOUBLE fees to $2,500 a month instead.
Yes, $30,000 a year just to LIVE IN YOUR HOME THAT YOU BOUGHT.
Nearly SIXTEEN TIMES what families were paying a few years ago.
Families who bought what they thought were their forever homes are now being told to pay $30,000 a year in HOA fees, or GO INTO FORECLOSURE!!!!!!
The neighborhood is Magnolia Cove in Sherrills Ford, Catawba County NC.
Jill Menson and her husband bought their house believing it would be their LAST home and five years ago, their HOA fee was $158 a month.
This summer it shot up to more than $1,200.
Plus a $10,000 ASSESSMENT on top of that.
On Monday night, the HOA board voted to raise fees AGAIN, from $1,250 to $2,500 a month.
That’s nearly SIXTEEN TIMES what they paid five years ago.
And the meeting?
It was held over ZOOM.
Menson says they’ll be forced out with nowhere to go, because no one will buy a house carrying fees like that.
So they went to the state for help.
The North Carolina Attorney General’s office told Channel 9 there are NO STATUTES limiting how much an HOA can charge.
None.
As long as the board follows its own documents, it can charge whatever it wants.
In Jill Menson’s words:
“Nobody is helping us.”
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!

Grok: **It appears to be a violation of Texas law and University of Houston System policy.**
University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) Student Government Association (SGA)-associated “Walk2Vote” event on or around October 20, 2026.
The event was promoted with SGA involvement (including social media welcoming him as part of the campus event) and featured Sanders alongside Greg Casar and Beto O’Rourke.
It was organized/hosted in connection with Powered by People (Beto O’Rourke’s progressive PAC focused on mobilizing Texas Democrats).
Sanders publicly framed the students’ participation as opposing “Republican voter suppression” and authoritarianism.
Relevant law and policy:
Texas Government Code Chapter 556 (Political Activities by Certain Public Entities and Individuals) applies to public universities as state agencies:
- § 556.004(a) bars a state agency from using any money under its control to finance or support a person’s candidacy.
- § 556.004(c) bars state officers/employees from using official authority or a program administered by the agency to interfere with or affect an election or achieve any other political purpose.
- § 556.002(b) is especially direct for student government: while reasonable dues for student-interest advocacy are allowed from mandatory student service fees allocated to SGA, **“A mandatory student service fee may not be used to influence the outcome of an election.”**
UH System Policy 02.A.39 tracks the statute. It prohibits using funds under university control (including student fees) to support candidates or influence election outcomes, bars voter education that favors a candidate or issue, and states that universities may invite candidates to speak **only if all candidates are extended the same invitation**.
Non-partisan voter registration is permitted; partisan campaign activity using institutional resources is not.
Facilities can be used for political events under the same rules as other outside groups.
Why this fits the prohibition:
An official or SGA-branded campus event featuring only progressive Democratic figures, with heavy university/SGA logos, food/resources, and a clear partisan framing, is difficult to square with the non-partisan, evenhanded rules. SGA resources and branding come from (or are closely tied to) mandatory student fees and the university’s institutional structure.
Using them this way looks like deploying a university program or resources for a political purpose.
Purely private student speech or an independent registered student organization has stronger First Amendment protections under Texas campus free-expression laws.
Official student government does not have the same latitude when it deploys university resources or branding.
This is primarily a policy and statutory restriction, not a typical criminal offense that lands students or speakers in jail.
Enforcement usually runs through university administration (investigations, sanctions, funding restrictions) or complaints to the Attorney General/ethics processes.
Involved employees can face discipline, including potential termination or salary withholding under the statute.

They tried to backpedal, but we had the receipts.
So the university was forced to admit it.
