A4: I think the idea of partnerships is paramount, there are many individuals in this chat that can attest to the value of partnering together when it comes to adaptive learning. OER is no different, more perspectives leads to more refined information. #DLNchat
A2: The key with any home grown method is the infrastructure you build. Do you trust that you have a solid base of theoretical and practical knowledge among your faculty? Students need both sides and one needs to tap into their resources. #DLNchat
To me OER really is about knowledge sharing in a faster way. Textbooks take time to publish and often times fall out of date too quickly, OER allows for a more efficient sharing of knowledge. #DLNchat
A6: We have already seen a surge in the embracing of the technology recently but there is still speculation. The future success lies in the embracing of the technology. Those that deny it will disappear through lack of innovation and a better product being out there. #DLNchat
A4: From the faculty perspective, it can allow for the building of foundational skills. Adaptive Learning = practice for the final building of a product. #DLNchat
A3: The greatest benefit of adaptive learning is allowing students to learn from their mistakes, our misunderstood virtue of humility is invoked. However, students that are only in it for the score could arbitrarily just go through without paying attention to the details #DLNchat
A1: Adaptive Learning is all about adjusting to the needs of the learner. Everybody has different learning styles, therefore, adaptive learning is simply just leveling to the needs to gain knowledge. #DLNchat
