I went on a date earlier this year with a woman who told me she wouldn’t have kids with a guy who wasn’t a millionaire. I asked was 500k enough? 700k? 800k? 900k? She emphatically said no, a millionaire. She worked retail at a department store. This is just where we are in society now & social media is making people lose their minds in regard to dating “preferences”.

I don’t believe a word he’s saying. I’d bet his dad is an Illegal Alien.
Deport the entire family to India, STAT.

A follow up to the Comcast LAYOFF mess from an insider:
"They dropped the hammer on a ton of folks M-W this week. Offering them to stay on till the end of the year in order to avoid WARN. Total number not clear yet, but they will be big.
We’ll soon find out how many were replaced with CIEC employees in their India GCC. We have a few being trained on several levels right now, and I think everyone’s wondering how customer service/info, as well as cybersecurity, AI development, engineering and so forth can go overseas without it being a security issue to this country?"
$1 BILLION + towards job cuts for COMCAST!
My preliminary estimate is 5,000–10,000 jobs
CFO Jason Armstrong on the Q3 call: a Q4 charge of 'over $1 billion,' with cable layoffs coming in the weeks ahead.
The cuts land in the coming weeks on the cable and telecom side, where revenue fell 2.7% last quarter, not at NBCU.
That's the business Comcast keeps after the 2027 spin-off, with about 179,000 people across the company.
Leadership says it's 'not a cost-cutting exercise.'
On Oct 21 I mentioned this round could be significant. A billion-dollar charge is not a trim y'all.

Heineken cut 6,000 jobs in February. Now every brewer wishes they had.
$BUD's margin just slipped to 36.1%, with costs at their highest since 2023. Heineken says its costs are 'significantly elevated' too, but it's growing volume and holding guidance.
Carlsberg is already planning price hikes for 2027.
The one that cut early has room.
Everyone else is about to make the same call. Layoff watchlist for the beer industry!
Heineken is laying off 6,000 over “weak beer sales.”
Hiring started slowing months ago.
Early H2 2025, they quietly slowed majorly all the backfilling attrition.
They were replacing roughly 80% of exits for much of H1 - which is normal to this sector if you think this is just cyclical.
But yeah... 1 in 5 roles just… disappeared. That is not normal for a capital-intensive beer company.
H2 told us everything- especially around Oct/Nov 2025 from a hiring POV --you don’t let 20% of departures evaporate unless you’re redesigning the org.
The layoffs are basically phase two.
The real signal here was the backfill slowdown.
The thing we need to watch is if Heineken proves it can protect margins with fewer people… every other brewer just got the memo.

Execution risk just moved higher across the sector.

Jeez Louise- just 26,000 jobs!!
Across the entire United States.
That's the October payroll forecast.
Job losses are creeping up, hiring is barely moving, and somehow we're supposed to be reassured because mass layoffs haven't arrived.
They call it a “low-hire, low-fire” labor market.
Apparently, the new definition of a healthy job market is one where nobody gets hired and not quite enough people get fired to cause a panic.

That's kind of the whole point now. Fewer people, same money. Some places are still hiring, just way less.

"America is racist, and I have a human right to live here," is the kind of shit we have heard our entire lives. Totally sick of it. Mass migration was never voted on, it would have failed overwhelmingly if the people were given a direct voice.

It's also an H-1B sponsor:

Median wage: $225,000
28 filed in the first 9 months of FY2026, already more than all of FY2025 (23)

I can’t believe this actually just happened:
So I’m flying to Atlanta for a speaking engagement, and I ordered a lyft to take my to my hotel.
Indian guy is my driver. I get into the car and he starts talking about his history doing ride shares and how much he gets paid (I didn’t ask).
But he tells me he was getting 1/3 of what the app charged me, so I made a comment that I didn’t realize the rates were so low.
He then goes on to inform me that he does other driving-type apps like DoorDash and Amazon, bragging about making $60 in 2 hours on Amazon delivering 8 packages.
I say “they must’ve been important packages,” and without missing a beat, he goes, “No, I opened them before delivering and it was boring stuff like phone cases and vacuum cleaners.
Literally under ZERO pressure he admits to opening other people’s mail simply because someone handed it to him to deliver.
We can’t keep living like this.

That is also that manager quietly telling you he is probably looking for a new job too.

Gen Z and beyond are going to gladly give up their social security contributions if it means the whole thing gets scrapped forever, too.
Boomers are really not ready for the abject rejection of 20th century soft socialism.
