It feels great to walk into an investor’s office in a foreign country and find your national flag proudly displayed. 🇰🇪🇨🇳 During my engagement with private sector players in Shanghai, China, we explored opportunities to strengthen investment ties and position Kenya as a strategic gateway to the wider East African region. Such engagements are important in building confidence, fostering partnerships, attracting investment, and creating opportunities for technology transfer, innovation, and sustainable economic growth. Kenya is open for business. The future of Kenya–China cooperation holds immense opportunities for shared prosperity. #KenyaChinaPartnership #InvestInKenya #KonzaTechnopolis #Investment #EastAfrica #Innovation

Had the pleasure of meeting Prof. Dehu Yu, President of Shandong Jianzhu University in China, to explore opportunities for strategic collaboration with the @Kenya_aist . Our discussions focused on potential areas of partnership in artificial intelligence, engineering, research and innovation, faculty and student exchanges, and joint academic programmes. As Kenya-AIST advances its mission to develop world-class scientific and technological talent, partnerships with Chinese universities offer valuable opportunities to strengthen research capacity, promote technology transfer, and translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions for Africa’s development. We look forward to building meaningful partnerships that connect talent, research, and innovation between Kenya and China. #KenyaAIST #KenyaChinaCooperation #ArtificialIntelligence #Engineering #ResearchAndInnovation #HigherEducation

Joined the 3rd China–Africa Green Energy Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation and Talented Young Scientist Program Forum in Jinan, Shandong, China. The forum brought together leading academics, emerging scientists, research institutions, and industry representatives to explore advances in green energy technologies and their industrial applications. Key discussions focused on efficient energy conversion and storage, clean energy and zero-carbon buildings, green and low-carbon fuels, hydrogen technologies, and smart energy systems. Beyond exploring emerging technologies, the forum provided an important platform to strengthen international scientific collaboration, promote knowledge exchange, and identify opportunities to translate research into practical solutions that address real-world challenges. For Africa, these partnerships present significant opportunities to accelerate the green transition, build local scientific and technological capacity, nurture young talent, and develop homegrown innovations that support sustainable industrialisation and climate resilience. The future of green energy depends on connecting scientific discovery with industrial application and strengthening partnerships between Africa and China. #ChinaAfricaCooperation #GreenEnergy #ScienceAndTechnology #Innovation #YoungScientists #CleanEnergy #SustainableDevelopment

Building youth talent through football and other sports is important because sports provide young people with opportunities to discover their potential, develop discipline, build teamwork, and pursue meaningful careers. Investing in youth sports is investing in talent, opportunity, and the future of our communities. Hosted the Kaiti Football Extravaganza for exposure, networking and talent development of our youth, and we appreciate the infrastructure by our national government.
