School choice beneficiary Ilen Perez-Valdes just shared a powerful testimony with members of the @EdWorkforceCmte.
"I'm the first in my family to go to college. I'm the first in my family to receive a higher education, and I couldn't be more proud of that. I'm so grateful for the opportunity that school choice gave me."

My message to parents: Never underestimate the power of your sacrifice. The long hours, the difficult decisions, and the obstacles you overcome today may become the foundation of your child’s future. Walter Blanks Jr.‘s story is proof that one opportunity can change not only a child’s life, but generations to come. Keep fighting for your kids. ❤️@WaltBlanksJr

Amazing news! Governor DeWine signed HB455, which allows eSchool students to take state-required assessment tests remotely! Huge win on a top priority for Ohio Parents for Education Freedom! Thanks also to Gayle Manning, Adam Bird, and all of the House and Senate co-sponsors.

Replying to @TeraMyers13
@teramyers13 fought for her son’s educational opportunity—and she also wanted her community to see the return on that investment.
Sam wasn't the only one who benefitted from his education. It opened doors for him to serve others, participate in his community, and contribute in meaningful ways.
As we head into #IndependenceDay, stories like this remind me that democracy isn’t only something we celebrate—it’s something we participate in.
People advocating for change and helping create more opportunity for others is worth celebrating.

We came. We advocated. We had a BLAST.
PLC 2026 brought parents from across the nation together to share their #schoolchoice journeys, meet with legislators, and fight for every child's future.
This is what advocacy in action looks like. ⬇️

School leaders face a set of tradeoffs when making decisions on how to deploy their finite resources—staff, money, time—to best support their students. A new study attempts to measure such tradeoffs and their academic impacts. @ThatJeffMurray

Amoree Brown’s journey to a high-quality education took a turn in 7th grade when he entered a large public middle school that felt unsafe and unmotivating.
His experience there took a serious toll on his well-being and love of learning, until his mother found North Carolina’s Opportunity Scholarship. With that support, he was able to attend Wayne Christian School, which provided the safe, supportive environment he needed to thrive once again.
This is a perfect example of how school choice can restore a student’s confidence, safety, and future.

When parents are given the freedom to choose an education rooted in biblical truth, students thrive.
The 2026 Ohio State Test scores show that Heritage Christian School students are outperforming the statewide average, all while receiving less than half the funding of neighboring public schools and serving a majority low-income student population. More importantly, students are being equipped with a quality education while being grounded in the truth of God's Word and the dignity of every human life.
Educational freedom matters. By advocating for programs like EdChoice and founding the OCEN Scholarship Granting Organization, CCV has helped more families access education that enables their children to flourish academically, spiritually, and personally.

A 16 alarm fire is well underway and has been for decades.
A new report released Wednesday suggests students in U.S. schools are performing worse than their peers a decade ago, and it isn't entirely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. abcnews.link/V6rlk1d
