What does your security crew look like? Does it reflect your patrons? Diversity can help make your patrons feel more comfortable when letting you know about harassment and violence. #fmo #festivalsafety - w/ @ProjSoundCheck

Making street harassment a hate crime could unfairly target minorities, warns the director of @HollabackOttawa
"The perception is that it is men of colour, immigrant men [and] men from poor neighbourhoods who engage in street harassment."

Thx @apt613💖 There's still so much work to do to increase #representation in #music & beyond! We want to break down barriers & create conditions for marginalized groups who want to be involved but can't, or whose work is more likely to be disregarded. What do you think, #Ottawa? xitter.cf/apt613/status/10214349…
