The most frustrating parts of democracy: An informed vote and an uninformed vote carry exactly the same weight. 😔

There is nothing left to send to Ukraine because we’re busy trying to keep Israel from being utterly and completely annihilated by the Iranian missile arsenal.
🛑 Neither Israel nor Ukraine can Sustain their Wars Indefinitely; the Math Doesn’t Work Col. Doug Macgregor (@DougAMacgregor) drops a hard truth: Ukraine and Israel cannot sustain these wars. The interceptor math is brutal and unsustainable. “We estimate that we have launched 19 years’ worth of Patriot interceptor (production) in seven months in defense of Israel.” “You want to know why there’s nothing left to send to Ukraine? We’re busy trying to keep Israel from being utterly and completely annihilated by the Iranian missile arsenal” in the event we return to active war. Ukrainian defenses are nearly useless. ~80% of Iranian missiles penetrate Israeli airspace. Multiple Patriot interceptor missiles needed for a 50% shot at one missile. “It will go until it can’t.” And when it can’t, Israel will b defenseless in the air. Abdul El-Sayed on Israel: I don't think that any of us pay our taxes so that we buy a bomb or a tank for another country. I don't think that we are on a pathway to any sort of peace, dignity, and self-determination for Jewish Israelis and Palestinians alike. I think that we've been lying to ourselves about a two-state solution while we're aiding, arming, and abetting the very people who want to foreclose on the possibility of a Palestinian state.

In 2025 Elissa Slotkin did an interview on Breaking Points that went viral where Krystal Ball called her out on Israel and the very next day for the first time Slotkin then voted against sending bombs to Israel. If you look at her voting record since 2025 I’m honestly pretty shocked at the change. I know she’s received tons of money from the Israel lobby and she still supports the IHRA definition of antisemitism which irritates me, but she is susceptible to pressure campaigns.

In the article, Bernie wasn't opposed to supporting Israel. He was more willing than many Democrats to criticize Israeli government policies. That distinction helps explain why pro-Israel political organizations were uncomfortable with him even though he had supported Israel on important votes. Now you see AIPAC is boasting about how many Politicians take their money.

No I don’t deny that. I’ve paid you for tweets before. I haven’t for at least a year though. I also know you still get paid by others for tweets so I do think it’s fair to refer to you as an “influencer.” What percentage of your tweets are paid for?

AIPAC boasts 234 election victories, congratulates Schumer and Jeffries, and vows to expand its political influence. The message is clear. SO IS OURS. American democracy is not for sale. Not to AIPAC. Not to billionaires. #AIPAC #MoneyOutOfPolitics

After weeks of worrying about my mother’s safety, having my face plastered on attack ads against Abdul, right wing media overturning every stone in my life, trackers showing up to my events, hate messages & death threats filling my inbox, it was nice to actually sleep last night.

Egyptian American Abdul El-Sayed studies political science and biology at the University of Michigan, graduating with highest distinction. He earns a doctorate in public health at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, then a medical degree from Columbia University, where he becomes an epidemiology professor. He goes on to lead Detroit’s public health department. And now, he has been elected to the United States Senate from Michigan… The son of an immigrant rises from scientist to public health leader to U.S. senator. @AbdulElSayed

BREAKING: Michigan Senator-elect Abdul El Sayed says he will NOT vote for Chuck Schumer for Senate majority leader, suggesting Chris Van Hollen replace him. That makes at least SIX incoming Democratic senators who have said they won’t support him. This is big.
