We teamed up, started making the game we wanted to play, and found an audience that wants it too.

Seeing so many of you believe in Knight’s Path is absolutely incredible and truly humbling.
Our small team of four is working harder than ever, pouring everything we have into making the upcoming demo something truly special.
We know we haven’t shown much gameplay lately, but we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes and we have a few nice surprises in store for you.
Great things are coming. Thank you for walking the Path with us! 💛

This is genuinely one of the worst One Piece takes I've ever seen. It's rare to see a take that so completely demolishes a character's entire being that you have to wonder whether the person making it even paid attention to the series or understands the character they're talking about.
Sanji's extreme love for women comes from his upbringing. He's not compensating for some repressed identity. Women (and Zeff) were among the only people in his messed up childhood who showed him compassion, who sacrificed their lives or put themselves at risk so he could even have a chance at happiness. Sanji is psychologically indebted to women because of what they represent to him. That's why he holds them in such high regard.
On top of that, Zeff's upbringing taught Sanji that there are good men in the world. Zeff helped him establish his place in the world as a man and instilled in him convictions about how a man should treat women. That's fundamental to who Sanji is. It's not some superficial character trait you can slap a different label onto without fundamentally changing what makes him who he is.
If all that development is somehow supposed to make him queer, then you've completely dismantled his character. If Sanji comes out as a "woman" or "genderfluid," that doesn't deepen his character. It makes him a worse one.
First, it would mean the Kamabakka harassment wasn't merely a gag about Sanji being relentlessly pursued by men. It would retroactively turn that experience into actual grooming and indoctrination. You're taking something that was portrayed as a source of suffering for Sanji and reframing it as some kind of journey toward his "true identity." That's an entirely different story, and not one his character development supports.
Second, it would turn Zeff's role in Sanji's life into a complete narrative detriment. Everything Zeff taught him about being a man, everything he instilled in him, and all the convictions that helped shape him would become pointless or actively work against the supposed end goal of making Sanji transgender. Congratulations, you've taken one of the most important relationships in Sanji's life and made it undermine the very character it helped build.
Third, Sanji's view of women is more complicated than simply putting them on a pedestal. He believes women deserve a degree of grace and forgiveness even when they're wrong, and that a man should continue to hold them in high regard. You'd be left with a Sanji who can apparently do whatever the hell he wants while expecting the men around him to put him on a pedestal because he's a woman. That's turning his convictions into a joke.
It also completely ruins his knight in shining armor motif and undermines his conviction never to hit a woman. His refusal to harm women isn't some arbitrary rule that can be discarded. It's a fundamental limitation Sanji has accepted as part of who he is.
And that's precisely why his character works so well when he relies on others to do what he cannot. It's why his decision to trust Robin against Black Maria was such a powerful moment. Sanji recognizes his own weakness, acknowledges that there are things he cannot do, and places his faith in someone who can do what he can't. He doesn't have to overcome that conviction to be useful, he has to learn to trust others.
That is an actual character arc. Turning him into a woman doesn't improve it.
And if he's supposed to come out as gay or bisexual, that's still a terrible reading of his character.
Sanji has demonstrated absolutely no meaningful attraction to men. He's never struggled with his sexuality or wrestled with romantic feelings toward other men. His struggles revolve around feeling like a burden because of his physical limitations, his perceived inability to protect others, and the mental shackles of his upbringing. Those are the conflicts his story actually explores.
If Sanji is gay, then what the hell are we supposed to make of his attraction to women?
