With his recent decision to ease sanctions on Russian diesel in an effort to bring down fuel prices, Trump has abandoned any pretense of neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine War. He has chosen a side: Putin's.
For decades, conservatives like Michigan’s Mike Rogers took for granted that support for Israel would remain a stable part of the Republican platform. Yet today, as the far right increasingly challenges that consensus, support for Israel, even among Republicans, is waning

Excerpt,
"The material gap between American and Chinese manufacturing capacity could be structurally fatal. Recent US-China Economic and Security Review Commission and Congressional Research Service data confirm that China was responsible for 53 percent of global shipbuilding tonnage in 2024. This commercial capacity gives Beijing an attrition depth that digital power alone cannot match. Overcoming this deficit requires more than leaders who merely value the artisan. The US must wield economic statecraft to fund the institutions that cultivate these artisans, recognizing that financial abstraction is a strategic vulnerability. A republic cannot project power abroad if it refuses to cultivate the hands that build its foundries."
