I still find myself struggling with AI at times. I can do the whole “show me how to” thing, but getting it to work seamlessly alongside me is a puzzle I’ve yet to solve.
Gemini and I designed a spreadsheet that would eventually spit out a CSV file to import into Wave accounting..
I set it up, imported all my pdf files, and then it acted like the spreadsheet we created never existed..
1 step forward and 2 back it seems..

Sand isn’t in office yet.
And Deere announced those closures months ago.
These two things are under Reynolds leadership as it stands.
Under Rob Sand
Day 1: John Deere closes 2 plants in Iowa
Day 2: Shooting at a government building
Thank you dumbass liberals who fell victim to obvious propaganda they saw on tv. Now Iowa is going to be the new Nigeria with a transgender leader

Rob Sand takes office as Iowa governor in January 2027. John Deere announced plans to shift production and close two plants in 2028 and 2029 due to changes in customer demand and an agricultural downturn.

I’m not certain that @elonmusk was aware of just how popular this product would be and how much usage it would generate in such a short timeframe, hence the sudden usage limit adjustment.
This is the fundamental problem with AI - the usage credits. It is a fantastic tool, and can eliminate a lot of headache for people.
But until the powers that be collectively find a way to make it achievable at a scale that won’t bankrupt people, it is going to remain primarily a “ask it how to…” tool.
I'm a Grok @Bot fan. I also can't keep paying for it like this.
Since August, I've gone all in. I built a team of 24 bots to run my business, and I've told everyone who would listen: newsletter subscribers, conference audiences, podcast hosts, and my mastermind members.
Then something changed. No announcement. No explanation. Suddenly, the same work cost far more than it used to.
This week I hit my weekly usage limit after just five days. That's never happened before. When it happens, Grok Bot keeps running on paid credits. On top of my $200 monthly subscription, I've spent more than $272 on extra usage. It's November 3.
Here's what scares me. Under the new limits, I'm burning about $14 an hour. At 10 hours a day, that's $140 a day, or roughly $4,200 a month, plus the subscription.
So I did what users do. I went looking for fixes.
1. Pause the routines. I paused 19 scheduled tasks this morning. It barely helped. Spending kept climbing.
2. Duplicate long-running bots. Others recommend copying a bot to start its conversation fresh. But the copy loses everything the bot has learned about you.
3. Rethink group chats. This turned out to be the real cost. Every message in a group chat wakes every bot in it, even the ones with nothing to say. Most of my usage now comes from conversations, not automation.
Here's where we are. I'm moving shared project context out of group chats and into notes the bots read only when they need them. One lead bot per project. Fewer wake-ups.
It's helping. But I shouldn't have to reverse-engineer the billing to use the product the way it's designed.
Let me be clear. I'm not a freeloader. I don't expect free AI, and I'm happy to pay for real value. Grok Bot delivers real value.
What I can't do is commit a business to a platform when I can't predict what it will cost from one week to the next. That uncertainty is the problem.
The Grok Bot team has built something remarkable. I don't want to find an alternative, but I may have to. It all depends on whether SpaceXAI fixes this.
I gotta shut this down quick as possible. For what little good this post does to the fan base..
When the show ended in 2012, it was David Shore, the creator of the show, who decided to pull the plug on it.
He said he felt that House ended on a perfect note, and that he had no intentions of ever bringing him back.
Plus we have to look at other cast members to make it plausible. While Hugh Laurie was absolutely the heartbeat of the show, it would never have been the hit it was without the rest of the gang:
- Lisa Edelsten.
- Robert Sean Leonard (who we can only assume that James passed away shortly after the show ended)
- Jessie Spencer
- Jennifer Morrison
- Omar Epps
- Olivia Wilde
- and Peter Jacobson
As much as I, like the rest of the fandom would LOVE to see this show return, it’s almost a guarantee it won’t happen.
FOX has reportedly confirmed season 9 of ‘HOUSE M.D.’, with HUGH LAURIE set to reprise his iconic role as DR. GREGORY HOUSE.
The new season would reportedly follow House years after faking his death, as he finds himself drawn back into medicine to tackle a series of mysterious cases unlike anything he’s encountered before.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
No FOX confirmation of a House M.D. season 9 exists. The show ended after 8 seasons in 2012 by the producers' own decision, and creator David Shore said in 2024 he's reluctant to revisit the series, calling a revival unlikely soon. tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/house-… web.archive.org/web/2025052610…
Can’t reply to this due to the posters privacy settings, but *I* was that child growing up.
Reading time came around, vocabulary, all of it? From 3rd grade on i was sent to he next higher grade.
My grandparents instilled a fundamental love for reading as far back as i can remember. And it led to me being the “advanced reader” in school..
I was never afforded the opportunity to help others, sadly. I was more of an outcast for it. Teachers praised me, my classmates resented me.
My daughter's teacher called me in because my seven-year-old "reads too far ahead" in class.
TEACHER: "She finishes the assigned chapter in five minutes, then keeps reading."
ME: "And that's a problem because...?"
TEACHER: "It's disruptive. The other children feel pressured."
ME: "She's reading quietly."
TEACHER: "She sighs when the others struggle to finish."
ME: "Then perhaps she needs books that challenge her."
TEACHER: "We follow the curriculum. She needs to learn patience."
ME: "She's seven."
TEACHER: "Exactly. This is when children learn that the world doesn't revolve around them."
I paused, trying to understand what my daughter had actually done wrong.
ME: "What does she do after finishing her work?"
TEACHER: "She reads."
ME: "And during lunch?"
TEACHER: "I don't monitor every conversation during lunch."
That answer stayed with me.
I'd packed two sandwiches in her lunchbox that morning because she'd specifically asked for an extra one. I hadn't thought much about it.
After the meeting, I waited outside the lunchroom.
Then I saw her...
If true, this is absolutely the healing we need..
Willingness to work together, not apart. Compromises CAN be reached for the betterment of EVERYONE, not just red or blue, if we just fucking try.
🔥🚨 HOLY CRAP! — JAMES TALARICO is blasting his own party and saying he will work with President Trump on immigration, housing, and criminal justice after the midterms.
TALARICO: "I think there’s a wide variety of issues that we could work together on. Immigration is one of them."
"We should figure out a pathway to citizenship for those hardworking neighbors who have been here for years and decades so they can come out of the shadows."
"I also want to work with the president on housing. He’s a builder, and we need to cut the red tape, the regulation that sometimes my party has been guilty of so that we can build millions of new homes in this country."
Story time:
Got loaded today in Bolingbrook, Illinois.. prior to that, I never noticed any issues with my trailer whatsoever. It stopped fine, rolled better.. no air loss.. rotors and pads looked good.. nothing..
Get to shipper, tandems all the way back, they do their thing.
I pull out, throw a strap or two on the load, release the tandem pins, and begin to back up to slide them back where they were (light load.. 30k)
It doesn’t hit the stop. Ever.. I’m freaking out..
Get out, they haven’t moved.. but *i* have.. I’m almost against the dock again.. pull forward, check again.. unlocked. Back up, nearly hit the dock again.. NOTHING..
Pulled up, grabbed my 4x4s out of the side box, and politely asked the driver next to me, a seasoned vet (or at least I assumed so by his demeanor) to watch my slide rails and tires while I fixed this mess.. he obliged. (And spoke English, which in the Chicago area is a miracle unto itself..)
“They’re rolling” was all he said..
Placed the 4x4s behind the wheels, and finally got it to slide back.
I thank him, he mentions “it looks like the calipers may be frozen up, the other side wasn’t moving when you apied the trailer brakes..”
“Well FUCK”, I said out loud, not realizing my inner monologue became public record.. he chuckled “there’s a shop not too far away”
“Yea, but it’s a USX trailer, they have to approve it”
Called company, they said “we can get you a shop, or you can risk it to Markham (our nearest terminal)”
I wasn’t about to shell out for a damn hotel while I waited, so I did the dumb thing.. got it weighed (legal, thank god) and headed to Markham..fortunately only 20 miles away..
While I find this, and the comments, absolutely hilarious.. I don’t think that this is the time for this level of trolling.
We’re in a very fragile state right now, and it won’t take much to snap some people..
Another thing.. I’m absolutely thrilled to see Zach Nunn out of office.
And not because a “Dem Won” I could give two shits less what party won.
It’s because for years, Nunn has been an ITA shill. He has spread the “Iowa Trucker Shortage” worse than the plague and people ate it up.
His talking points were taken directly from the “how to fuck over American truckers” playbook that the ITA and ATA has been using for decades.
He refused to do the actual leg work to discover the truth. Bye bitch boy.
And I’m gonna tag @GordMagill in this because I know he saw it too.. yea, it’s a pathetic attempt for reach, I know.. but when you share a sentiment about something.. why the hell not? 😁
One thing I have to say about Trump. Love him, hate him, lukewarm about him..
Going public and reversing his position from “Mr. Veto” to “willing to work with them” is a pure 180 from everything he’s said.
Is it just damage control ahead of the primary in 2 years, to save the GOP? Maybe.
Will he follow through? Only time will tell.
But one thing remains clear:
This IS an olive branch towards government unity. And truthfully, that’s what we need. No more of this Red v Blue bullshit. If we can’t get on the same page, then the Experiment that we called Democracy is truly over.
I’ll be frank. I don’t WANT impeachment. That process is a stain on the image that we portray as a powerhouse. It sends a message that we, as Americans, can’t be trusted to elect our leaders in the best interest of ALL of us. It happened with Nixon
Do we have differences? Absolutely. That’s what makes (made) this country so great. We were allowed to have different ideals. We are allowed to question our government choices. But in the end, we always worked TOGETHER for our prosperity.
IF (and I know that’s a huge ask) our new Congress and our current Administration can bridge that gap once more, we’d be in a FAR better place.
My take on this election:
GOP: “We lost, we’re doomed! America is finished!”
Dems: “and now we drink GOP tears”
Vs.
My take on the last election:
Dems: “We lost, we’re doomed! America is finished!”
GOP: “And now we drink liberal tears”
Same story, different year. And still nothing gets done no matter who is in charge. We vote to produce tears now. Nothing more.
If I had the reach, the power, the desire, I’d push to end the 2 party system as it currently sits, and begin all over again.
Read that again. The desire. I can’t be bothered anymore because we’ve fallen too far already.
In the last words of Bumpy Johnson from American Gangster:
“Forget it, Frank. There’s no one in charge”
