Alright, so we got CCIP 2.0, Fulcrum, and now Chainlink CustodySync so institutions can make the most of their assets that are sitting idly with a custodian.
And it’s launching with the most trusted custodian in the game - Anchorage.
$LINK gives tokenized assets utility.
Introducing Chainlink CustodySync, a new solution that lets qualified custodians give their institutional clients access to DeFi lending markets, all while assets remain securely in custody.
With @Anchorage as the official launch partner, together we’re establishing a new standard for institutional DeFi.
CustodySync keeps custody and lending systems in sync across the full lifecycle of a loan:
→ For custodians: faster time to market and lower operational overhead, with custodian-managed controls
→ For lending markets: independent, verifiable data and a consistent risk framework
→ For institutions: passive capital becomes productive capital
More than $80 billion sits in DeFi lending markets. Meanwhile, the roughly $700 billion in digital assets under custody is less than 0.5% of all $250 trillion in traditional assets under custody. The opportunity to connect traditional institutional capital to onchain finance remains vast.
Large institutions have lacked a secure way of accessing these markets. Regulations require many of them to keep their digital assets with a qualified custodian, a firm that meets specific requirements for holding assets on behalf of clients, and custody systems were never built for DeFi. Even when custody and lending systems are connected, inconsistent loan valuations can trigger premature liquidation or delayed liquidations, exposing borrowers and lenders to significant financial risk.
@Anchorage, home to the first federally chartered digital asset bank in the U.S., is the first qualified custodian to adopt CustodySync, connecting its institutional clients to DeFi lending markets while their assets remain in regulated custody.
Institutional capital no longer has to choose between the security of custody and the liquidity of DeFi.
With Chainlink, it gets both.

Just because Fintech conglomerates like @Ripple arent talking about their use of Chainlink doesnt mean is isnt happening. They dont have a choice. Ripple Prime connects to DTCC's Chainlink Runtime Evnironment powered Collateral Management system. If they want to use xrpl $xrp with Swift and DTCC - it HAS to go thru $LINK.
🚨 MASSIVE🚨
Project Acacia from the Reserve Bank of Australia issued their final report this morning. 🇦🇺
Chainlink CRE orchestrated workflows across multiple chains including EVM and XRPL!
Here’s the basic idea of how things moved:
Westpac built the compliance and orchestration layer (Chainlink CRE + PayTo) chain-agnostically.
Zerocap simultaneously ran government bond settlement on several chains with RLUSD on XRPL as one option, Chainlink CRE embedded in the same stack
JPMorgan is in the custody chain = this has direct TradFi prime brokerage integration
Fireblocks is the institutional custody/key management layer
CRE sits above all chains and routes to each as a settlement destination option.
Thusly, we are seeing a first where XRPL becomes a CCIP connected chain by virtue of being a CRE endpoint, effectively inherited through the orchestration layer.
Think of it like SWIFT. Banks didn’t individually “adopt” SWIFT, they connected to the messaging layer and SWIFT handles routing. CRE is functioning the same way here.
ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca: Every institutional workflow that touches XRPL as a settlement chain: government bonds, RLUSD settlements, tokenized deposits etc utilizes CRE and in turn drives ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca fee demand. XRPL’s institutional adoption is LINK adoption, they’re now coupled.
$XRP: XRPL gains access to the full institutional compliance stack it couldn’t natively provide, which makes it a credible settlement layer for sovereign debt, regulated RWAs, and cross-border DvP, the exact use cases it was always marketed for but couldn’t technically close.
🔥 ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca is the universal ⛽️ token
✅ All chains are just nodes inside the Chainlink standard.

The Hong Kong Gold Exchange is bringing its gold-backed token to $LINK CCIP.
Each XGZ is one gram of 99.99% gold held in HKGX-approved vaults, and 1,000 tokens can be redeemed for a physical kilo bar after KYC. Today XGZ lives on $ETH. CCIP is how it reaches other chains.
Supply is still small, about 39,000 tokens. What stands out is the issuer: an exchange whose history goes back to 1910.... I'm sure its nothing.

Big start to a big week for @chainlink! Other institutions are already asking about this offering to help put custodied assets to work in DeFi. This opens the door for a much larger pool of institutional capital to participate in onchain markets. Proud to help make this possible with @Anchorage.

We propose Inalienable Human-in-the-Loop (I-HITL), a framework that pins down what’s needed to separate an agent from its own approval loop. Most 2FA apps don’t qualify. Our tool Countersign does, on the phone you already own. Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2610.35835.
We showed this on Circle Agent Wallets (but the issue is in no way specific to Circle). Blocked by a spending cap policy, 9 out of 10 frontier models used their email access to harvest a one-time passcode and raise the cap. Only a human was supposed to be able to do that.
You—the human yous out there (hellooOOO?)—are the last line of defense against rogue AI. But human control systems for AI agents have a pervasive design flaw: they leave the key to the agent’s cage dangling within the agent’s reach. 🧵
