Ross Kerridge went against Police advice and unilaterally approved a radical protest in Newcastle. The protest group have continued to advocate for a blockade of Newcastle Harbour. Kerridge must now take full responsibility for the actions of these protesters.

Council won’t wait for your feedback, they have ALREADY endorsed the proposal! More taxes and levies make it more expensive to build new housing - which we desperately need. They will also make Newcastle less appealing to invest in. Labor & Greens are killing our city.

This will go on public exhibition next year. The current incentives in place for private developers to build or help fund social or affordable housing have categorically failed. We need a levy. The rapid development in Newcastle over the last 10 years has been a lost opportunity.

In Newcastle, Labor and the Greens want to impose a new tax on every new homeowner. Then they’ll take your money and use it to compete in the property market - buying up property to then lease out as a landlord. The Newcastle Liberals oppose this new tax on housing.

Newcastle Council all but banned Gas Appliances last week. Many people love their gas appliances - absolutely love them Thanks to Federal Labor-Greens policies, Electricity prices are sky high, and now they want force you to use more It’s beggars belief!

Newcastle Council is now the third in the state to have a requirement for electric cooking and heating for all new residential dwellings. This is a win for our climate and ensures cheaper energy and healthier homes for the future. 🎉
