No truly generous Christian can be comfortable with berating the poor or using wealth as proof of divine validation.
Because Christian generosity includes honouring the less privileged and never using what you have to make anyone else less dignified.
So if you donate 0.68% of your wealth to charity but you're always boasting in your wealth and affirming superiority in God's kingdom based on your bank account, you're only using your wretched charity to mask your wickedness, selfishness, and ungodliness.

This is Fadi al-Halsa, a young Orthodox Christian (Rum Orthodox) dentist from Karak, Jordan who only just graduated from Alexandria University's dental school this year.
Instead of celebrating his bright future, Fadi's parents and two sisters are now laying him to rest. Fadi was martyred in the Karak Saint George Church terrorist attack in Jordan.

βWe must therefore be careful, whenever we feel these things happening invisibly within us and with us, not to ascribe them to our own will, which is weak; nor to any necessity on the part of God, for there is none; but solely to that grace of which He is full. It is grace which arouses our free choice, by sowing the seed of the good thought; it is grace which heals our free choice, by changing its disposition; it is grace which strengthens it so as to lead it to action; it is grace which saves it from experiencing a fall.
Grace so cooperates with free choice, however, that only in the first case does grace go a step ahead of it; in the other cases, grace accompanies free choice. What has begun by grace alone is completed by grace and free choice together, in such a way that they contribute to each new work not singly, but jointlyβnot by turns, but at the same time. It is not as if grace did half the work and free choice the other half; but each does the whole work, according to its own contributionβwith this one qualification: the whole work is done in free choice, but the whole work is done by grace.β

A short excerpt from the sermon "Be Angry, and Do Not Sin."
What is anger? Can a Christian be angry?
How should we respond when angry?
We looked into this topic of anger last Lord's Day, and we pray that it blesses you.

BREAKING: New footage shows the moment Islamists entered a church in Jordan and began slaughtering worshippers.
Six have been confirmed dead, with dozens more injured.
This one truth will never go out to fashion:
Jesus is the answer for the world today.
For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
So come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters! Come empty handed! Buy without price.

"Contrary to this modern prejudice, tradition does not simply tell us where not to go. It tells us where we must go. Rather than simply gesturing towards paths we should not travel, tradition clearly, authoritatively tells us what paths we must travel."

Nigeria: A Christian mother, Liatu Samuel Dawa, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the βcrimeβ of evangelism.
Liatu shared her faith with a woman in Borno State who later converted to Christianity.
For that, Liatu is now behind bars and her family in hiding after Muslims threatened their lives.
The judge, A.B. Kumdila, imposed the harsh sentence.
This ruling is a gross miscarriage of justice.
The disgraceful action must be overturned and Liatu immediately returned safely to her family.
Free Liatu Dawa.
