Ima say this once and my perspective Devs do NOT need fees unless they are an artist or built something that’s it. I don’t care if they found something Make money on the trade u don’t need to extract

I highly recommend trying out this game if you like super mario @olivers_tools has enabled multiplayer for us you have to provide your own rom and you can play romsfun.com/download/super-m… statics.romsfun.com/Nintendo…
I built Super Mario 64 as a Multiplayer in the browser. For the record @Nintendo i made it so now you have to provide the ROM to play, instead of me providing it. And also for the record I wished we lived in a different world where such old games can be remixed more freely for non-profit uses and that we find a path forward together with the publishers. I think you're leaving a lot of energy on the table to honour, revive and live your cultural heritage.

Honestly I was tilting a bit regarding leaving traces of the money for the legal & DMCA stuff. It's my first rodeo. After a bit of time thinking about it, I regret taking them down. It's pointless anyway. The traced are there and this conversation feels ripe to be had. Also, I didn't mean to be unthankful to people supporting this along the way. Quite the opposite. Seeing so many people having fun with this or getting inspired to do their own stuff made for an unforgettable 48h. Thank you. It did also net about $12k from the Mario 64 coin fees (solana:7eEqEXTrYjG4FbVq2PXfxJVaSRp4ZnYcD4RM1KxQpump). This was also my first time even being somewhat exposed to a meme coin. I am not sure yet what to think about the general idea of pump.fun. I see how it fills a need tho there is something about betting on fast paced meme-evolutions that feel very unhealthy for my already vibe-coding fragged dopamine system. And also I prefer to earn my money with more service based work. That being said I did not put anything myself into the coin, and I gave 3 SOL to @risk_arc as a thank you for onboarding me. Without that none of that money would be here. So whats now with the money? There was a fair bit of understandable frustration with my agents using or getting inspired by libraries of people who worked on this for years and some vibe coder comes along and slops something together. I get it the sentiment though also have thoughts. I didn't think much of it when I first had Opus code it up. I wanted to see how hands off I can be with the new 5.5 and I shared it same day before going to sleep. As I mentioned before I didn't write a single line of code for this and unaware of the used libs until i collected them to credit in my first x reply. And even then I just assumed they were open source, only later to research more and find out they were not licensed as such. I feel like we touched on a bigger conversation about how to deal with the coming age of remixing, craftsmanship, IP & AI. Open to continue that. Either way, I would like to share this $12k (minus any legal/server fees) with people who built the libraries that my implementation used. Open to suggestions how to split between the involved libs/people and me. Curious about ideas how to design this fairly. Contributor list at the end. What about Nintendo? Apart from the takedown notice on X.com for the post with the video they have not reached out yet so I am actually still unsure what their position to this is. Hoping for them to be involved in the conversation about remixing such cultural heritage. I am saying this with the deepest admiration for the craft that went into making those games, ports and engines (even though i can see that some of my actions lead people to think otherwise) -----Contributors (acc to opus)----- 1. n64decomp/sm64: decompiled the original game into readable C github.com/n64decomp/sm64 2. sm64-port: first native PC port of that decompilation github.com/sm64-port/sm64-po… 3. n64-fast3d-engine (Emill): turns N64 drawing commands into OpenGL github.com/Emill/n64-fast3d-… 4. sm64ex: the engine our game is built from, unedited github.com/sm64pc/sm64ex 5.
