Today Purchase College, SUNY thanked Senator Mayer who understands that providing access to all our community members is paramount to our mission as a public college. She was instrumental in ensuring that we were able to receive the funding to complete this project. Providing inclusive access to education includes reducing physical barriers to an education. In this case, those barriers involved curbs, sidewalks, crosswalks, parking spaces, and a bus stop. Thank you Senator Mayer for all you do to support educational access and to SUNY!

I hope everyone had a great first week on campus. It's been so nice to see the campus vibrant once again. I know it's not always easy to be in a new environment. Students, please reach out for support through Residential and Student Life or Counseling if you need help.

Many of our students come in as undeclared, or end up exploring other majors. Luckily, Purchase is the perfect place to open yourself up to everything, as seen in this Rolling Stone feature of the alumni bad, Lip Critic. rollingstone.com/music/music…

Political violence is abhorrent & intolerable. Praying for former President Trump, all the victims of the tragic shooting in PA, & their families. At @SUNY, we’re committed to promoting civil discourse, fostering constructive civic engagement, & treasuring our shared humanity.

I was inspired this morning in my conversation with EOP students, Paul Nicholson and Mary Garcia who are phenomenal mentors. These students remind us why our future looks bright!!!
