I Warned You With Dates. Ledger, Coldcard etc. the Hardware Wallet Failures That Followed. 1: You asked so here it is! 2: 18 Dec 2025 User reports Ledger drained without sharing seed. My reply: “Supply chain or technically challenged security is a huge issue within current cold storage solutions.” Link to PureWallet as the offline ISO alternative. Purewallet.ai 3. 6 Jan 2026 Explicit post: “In a world where hardware wallets like Ledger continue to face security nightmares from the 2023 Connect Kit exploit that drained over $600K to the latest third-party payment processor breach exposing customer data just this week it’s time to rethink ‘secure’ cold storage.” Called out firmware flaws, phishing, data leaks, and supply-chain hacks. PureWallet = gas-free offline, air-gapped, no extra hardware. 4. 26 Mar 2026 Long comparison: Ledger, Trezor, Tangem require separate physical devices → lose, damage, or supply-chain risk. PureWallet isolates keys on the phone you already carry. True offline P2P via QR/Bluetooth/NFC. ISO 27001/27003. Hardware still needs a live connection to spend in many cases. We don’t. 5. 1 Aug 2026 (days after Coldcard drains began 30 July) Scoreboard post: • Coldcard / Coinkite — $38M+ (later $100M+) from 5-year-old RNG/firmware entropy flaw. Seeds weakened since 2021. • Tangem: unpatchable laser fault-injection. • Trust Wallet: supply-chain extension compromise. • Ledger: repeated customer data breaches + Recover controversy. These are structural, not isolated bugs. 6. 3 Aug 2026 Full thread: Hardware (Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard) still carries: • Firmware entropy failures that sit for years • Physical fault-injection & laser attacks • Customer data breaches that turn users into phishing targets • Extra hardware + still need online path to broadcast PureWallet removes the trade-off. Mobile cold + Offline Tokens. Keys never leave the device. 7. 17 Aug 2026 Detailed post after Trezor fulfilment breach (~14k customers), Ledger data issues (2020 + Jan 2026 Global-e), Tangem laser attack: “Not another plastic brick with a supply chain problem.” Bitcoin Offline live on PureWallet: UTXO key control moves device-to-device via QR/Bluetooth, no new on-chain tx, no gas, no network exposure during transfer. ISO 27001/27003. No second device. 8. 31 Aug 2026 “Hardware wallets spent August leaking names. Trezor’s fulfilment partner exposed 14,000 customers. Ledger already had the list. Tangem’s card is unpatchable. Trust Wallet’s extension got drained. And you’re still waiting on a plastic brick in the mail.” 9. What unfolded after • coldcard RNG flaw (firmware from March 2021) → drains starting late July 2026, eventually ~1,800+ BTC (~$100M+ range) from thousands of addresses. • Ledger CryptoBilis reseller (SE Asia) → Oct 9, 2026: $86–93M+ drained from hundreds of wallets. Suspected supply-chain tampering (hidden implant reports by Karpelès). Ledger systems not breached. • Ongoing data leaks, phishing via official channels, kernel-level device risks (I covered kernel exploits on Spaces months earlier). 10. CZ’s post-incident advice (quarantine new wallets 2 weeks, diversify, stay informed) is correct for the current hardware model. It does not remove the attack surface: supply chain, firmware that can sit broken for years, physical devices, screen/USB side-channels, and the need to go online to spend. 11. PureWallet was built for a different boundary: • No separate hardware → no supply-chain brick, no firmware landmine that ships years later. • ISO 27001 + 27003 certified offline cold storage. • Keys air-gapped on the phone. Offline Tokens / Bitcoin Offline (Isolate → Transfer → Verify → Reconcile). Gas-free P2P via Bluetooth/NFC/QR. • Quantum-resistant by design (post-quantum + QKD patents). • Works when the network doesn’t. I said it on posts. I said it on Spaces. The incidents kept proving the point. The old model keeps getting patched. The new one is already shipping.

The good thing about @PureWalletPlus is that you don’t need any device to go cold storage vault and then offline! Shoutout to @SlowMist_Team for providing our security rather than a post-mortem! They are the best in the game!

FORMER CRYPTOBILIS OWNERS BREAK SILENCE ON LEDGER SUPPLY CHAIN ATTACK CryptoBilis co-founders Arravind Prabu and Vimalatheethan have issued an official statement distancing themselves from the company’s current operations following reports of compromised Ledger devices. According to the statement: • CryptoBilis was acquired by new ownership earlier this year. • Both founders stepped down and completed the operational handover in March 2026. • Neither has had access to customer databases, order histories, backend systems, or administrative accounts since the handover. • The acquisition agreement prohibited a joint public announcement until mid-October 2026, although suppliers had reportedly been informed of the ownership change. • Both founders offered to provide Ledger with historical information to assist its investigation. The statement identifies Nicholas Chang as the current person in charge of CryptoBilis. The revelations raise further questions about the reseller’s ownership transition and the timeline of the suspected Ledger supply chain attack.

Bitcoin just went truly Offline on PureWallet. Not “sign offline then broadcast.” (Facts are Facts so we should keep it 💯) @PureWalletPlus & purewallet.ai By @LarryPureLabs Not another plastic brick with a supply chain problem. Bitcoin Offline & Cold Chunks are live. Your BTC stays on-chain. What moves between Offline Wallets is control of the key that can spend the UTXO — device-to-device via QR/Bluetooth, no new on-chain tx, no gas, no network exposure during the transfer itself. Isolate → Transfer → Verify → Reconcile. Security is a full lifecycle, not a marketing label. Meanwhile the “secure” hardware crowd keeps proving the old model is broken: • #Trezor (Aug 2026): Fulfillment partner ShipMonk breached → ~14,000 customers’ names, emails, phones & shipping addresses exposed. • #Ledger: Repeated third-party data breaches (2020 + Jan 2026 Global-e) + 2023 Connect Kit supply-chain attack. • #Tangem: Unpatchable laser fault-injection attack disclosed by Ledger Donjon (July 2026) that can reset card passwords. Physical + expensive, but every card in circulation is affected forever. Hardware wallets still force you to trust manufacturers, logistics partners, firmware update pipelines, and physical devices that can ship silent flaws or leak your address for years of phishing. And no — using an old cellphone as cold storage isn’t some breakthrough. #CakeWallet’s Cupcake (turning a spare/old phone into an air-gapped QR signer) is just the latest version of a long-standing idea. Air-gapping a second device for signing has existed for years. It’s useful, but it’s still the old model: you need a dedicated second phone, you still sign then broadcast, and you’re managing two devices with the usual OS and physical risks. PureWallet was first to solve this properly as a true mobile cold + offline system. One phone. Segregated Offline Token environment. Keys isolated in OS secure storage. Real gas-free P2P transfers offline (not just signing). Dual-layer Hot/Offline/Cold architecture in a single app. World’s first ISO 27001 & ISO 27003 certified offline crypto wallet — with IEEE-certified security architecture. No extra hardware. No second device required. Recent app updates made the Offline experience tighter — cleaner UI, more stable key flows, streamlined QR/Bluetooth offline transactions. The choice is getting clearer every week: Keep trusting the supply chain… or keep juggling old phones as makeshift signers… or move to true offline Bitcoin that lives on the phone you already carry and never needed the old model. Bitcoin Offline is live. The plastic bricks and “just use an old phone” workarounds are still patching yesterday’s problems. #Bitcoin #OfflineBTC #PureWallet #ColdStorage #CryptoSecurity #ISO27001 #ISO27003 #IEEE

🚨 TO THE MAJOR WALLET PROVIDERS: STOP PATCHING THE OLD MODEL. WHITE-LABEL OR BUY THE NEW ONE. The last 12 months have been a masterclass in why traditional cold and hot wallets keep failing users: • @COLDCARDwallet / @Coinkite — $38M+ drained from a 5-year-old RNG/firmware entropy flaw • @TrustWallet — supply-chain extension compromise draining millions • SecondFi (Yoroi) — Cardano key leakage from a single signature • @Tangem — unpatchable laser fault-injection attack on every card in circulation • @Ledger — repeated customer data breaches + Recover controversy + app-level signing issues These are not isolated bugs. They are structural limitations of the current architecture. PureWallet already solved the core problems many of you are still struggling with: • True mobile cold storage (keys air-gapped in a segregated Offline Token environment on the phone) • No separate hardware device that can ship a silent multi-year firmware landmine or become unpatchable • Quantum-resistant by design (post-quantum cryptography + patented QKD) • ISO 27001 / 27003 certified • Gas-free offline P2P (Bluetooth / NFC / QR) • Non-custodial, no browser-extension attack surface The market is shifting. Users no longer want another USB stick or plastic card that can fail five years later. They want cold storage that lives on the phone they already carry, with real offline capability, quantum resistance, and certifications that actually mean something. Some of you will keep shipping incremental firmware updates and hoping the next exploit doesn’t make headlines. The smarter ones will white-label or acquire the architecture that already works. PureWallet is open to helping the broader market or discussing creative integrations! Larry | @LarryPureLabs | PureWallet #PureWallet #WhiteLabel #CryptoSecurity #SelfCustody
