When we got our new kitten in March, our older cat flew into a rage. We had to separate them until she became bigger, stronger & more aggressive.
A few days ago, my wife took this picture of the kitties together. It's something I'm very grateful on Thanksgiving.

Putting "RCV" before "voting in politicians who are pro RCV" seems a bit self-defeating.
The only way we get ballot reforms like RCV is if we vote for alternative candidates who pledge to implement it, such as @gogreen2026.

Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart, who passed away today at the age of 86. Perhaps best known for his iconic role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Stewart spent the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown sharing videos of himself reading Shakespeare’s sonnets. Notably, he was once joined by his neighbor’s cat Glenn who appeared unimpressed by Sonnet 40.

I come from a Star Trek family. My mom grew up watching the original series, & my grandfather called her, a skinny kid, "Bones" after Dr. McCoy. My brother & I came up with TNG (our childhood dog's name was Mr. Worf), & as an elder millennial, Picard was *my* captain. Stewart played Picard with a perfect balance of stoicism, integrity & compassion that was reflected in how he lived his life. What a loss.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

There are many uniquely bizarre aspects to the US/Israel relationship but the most bizarre is how relfexively pro-Israel Americans will side with that *foreign country* even when they attack, beat, persecute or kill their own fellow Americans.
It's extra surreal, and disgusting, watching politicians who call themselves "America First" -- like Mike Huckabee -- do this.
Ambassador Huckabee, this is unreleased video of an American who was beaten almost to death last week by Israeli settlers. You know his name because he came to you for help, but you blew him off. That’s disgraceful. Do your job.

Pretty rich for Haley Stevens to lecture Abdul El-Sayed about “hate” over an ad his campaign has explicitly disavowed while Mike Rogers is running one of the most racist and bigoted campaigns I’ve ever seen.
The hate in this race is being directed at Abdul, not coming from him.
