I Never Imagined I Would Have to Ask for Help Like This ❤️ I never thought I would be the person asking strangers, friends, and family for help. But right now, I’m scared, overwhelmed, and honestly don’t know where else to turn. After losing my mother, I stepped forward and took on the responsibility of handling her estate. I was grieving my mom while trying to navigate a legal and financial process I had never been through before. I genuinely believed I was doing what I was supposed to do. Unfortunately, I was given information by my stepfather, who has since passed away, and a realtor that I relied on when handling the estate. I now know that information was incorrect, and because I acted based on what I had been told, I am facing the possibility of having to repay nearly $71,000 within a matter of months. I don't have $71,000. I don't know how I could possibly come up with that amount of money. And that is terrifying. I wish I could say I have a solution.. I don't. Right now i am trying to find an attorney who can help me understand my rights, review what happened, and help me navigate the legal situation I am facing. I need someone who can help me make sure my side of the story is heard and that everything surrounding this situation is properly addressed. This has become so much more than a financial problem. I'm already carrying the pain of losing my mother. Now I'm dealing with the fear of losing all financial stability and the uncertainty of what this could mean for my future. I've never been in any trouble a day in my life and I never imagined I would have to publicly admit that I'm struggling this badly.
