On a very high level, our proof requires three ingredients (in the figure below). This allows us to generalise our techniques and prove cloning lower bounds for instances of specific Abelian StateHSPs. 13/⚛️

But modern quantum learning theory deals with structured classes of states and exploits such structure to do better than general tomography. Here, one may ask how does cloning and learning sample complexities relate to each other for these structured classes of states. 5/⚛️

Can quantum cloning be easier than learning for structured classes of states❓ We ask this question for stabilizer states in our recent work: arxiv.org/abs/2604.15269. 1/⚛️

8/n In addition, we show that non-negligible (inverse polynomial) purity of states is necessary for testing of above-mentioned resources. Is it sufficient? We left this as an open question.

Gave a talk on "Introduction to Quantum Computing" at IISER Mohali, a @Turing_IISERM x @phyclub_iiserm Club event. Great to see around 130 people tuning in for the talk(mostly the new batch). Hope this enthusiasm towards quantum computer just grows from here on.
