$ETH’s large spot trades have been net sellers across the tracked spot venues. Overall spot aggression stayed close to balanced, yet ETH fell on Binance perps over the latest full week.
The same split is still present today, with Coinbase the exception among spot venues. In 40 earlier down weeks with similarly sell-heavy large spot flow, ETH rose the following week 22 times. That points to concentrated spot supply, but the history gives no clean direction signal.
ENA is up about 10% over the past day. Open interest rose 12% to 19% across Binance, Bybit, OKX and Hyperliquid over that same window.
Aggressive spot and perp flow stayed close to balanced, with a small net sell. Binance and Coinbase spot books lean bid near price; Binance perps are close to even.
The rebound has a broad contract build with little taker-buy confirmation. If those spot bids pull, the added open interest leaves the recovery more exposed.
$BTC spot ETF demand reversed sharply on Thursday. Funds redeemed $628M after $1.07B of net creations across the prior three U.S. sessions, giving back more than half that burst.
Net creations over the full stretch remain positive. Most of Thursday’s redemptions came from IBIT, FBTC and ARKB, so the creation impulse has been sharply pared back.
$LTC funding is unusually negative, but the short-squeeze case is not clean. Binance and Bybit funding are below zero; OKX is positive. Most accounts are net long across all three venues.
Coin-denominated open interest is nearly unchanged over the past week, and price is near the bottom of its 30-day range. Negative funding alone does not establish a crowded short.
$BTC has bounced into an unusually ask-heavy Binance perp book.
Near price, the Binance perp ask-to-bid depth ratio averaged 1.75 this morning, its most ask-heavy matched reading in a month. Coinbase spot leaned ask-heavy too. Binance spot was close to even.
Aggressive flow across Binance and Coinbase spot, plus Binance, Bybit and OKX perps, was roughly balanced over the past day. If those asks stay, the rebound faces a real hurdle on the perp side.
$BTC’s early-October long-liquidation flush has not kept price down.
Binance perps forced out about $204M of longs in the initial selloff. BTC bounced, retested below the post-flush close, then recovered above it despite more long liquidations. Aggressive spot and perp flow was roughly balanced over the same span.
Ten comparable selloffs had a slightly negative median three-day return, a small sample. BTC’s response is firmer than that history, but it remains a recovery after a volatile retest.
$BTC saw $24M more aggressive buying than selling on about $185M traded across Binance spot, Binance perps and Coinbase spot over the past hour. Each market closed slightly lower.
Resting liquidity split by venue: Binance had more bids near price, Coinbase had more asks. Buyers are active, but price has yet to confirm across the board.
$HYPE has had recurring net selling in large perp trades, yet it often outperformed BTC during those periods. This month, HYPE is down ~16% against BTC’s ~3% decline.
Over the past day, aggressive selling showed up on Binance, OKX and Hyperliquid perps. Bybit was roughly balanced. HYPE’s relative weakness now has broad perp selling behind it.
Today, the pullback is broad across Binance’s tracked USDT perp markets. Seventeen are below 30-day VWAP, but 15 remain above 90-day VWAP.
Near-term value has weakened across most of the group. The longer-term traded-value base is still beneath price for the majority.
$NEAR is down 17% from its October 12 high. Perp open interest across Binance, Bybit, OKX and Hyperliquid fell by almost the same amount in NEAR terms.
The September buildup in perp exposure is coming out, though OI remains above its early-September level. The small historical sample gave mixed follow-through, so the clearest read is a position reset.
$BTC spot selling this month has been unusually concentrated in large trades.
Through October 15, large trades made up about 9% of spot turnover but accounted for more than a third of net aggressive selling across Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase and Kraken. Bybit was the exception, with net buying.
That imbalance has eased today. Large-trade flow is roughly balanced, and overall spot flow is too. The few earlier sell-heavy windows split over the next 15 days, so the evidence points to concentrated pressure, not a clean directional signal.
$SOL spot demand is stronger than its recent baseline. Tracked spot venues net bought about $35M over the past day, after a month of near-neutral flow.
This morning, every tracked perp venue was a net seller. Spot flow stayed positive and SOL slipped only about 0.6% across markets. Binance spot depth is below its monthly norm, but Coinbase is bid-skewed. Spot buying is meeting the sell pressure, though resting support is uneven.
$BTC held flat under one-sided spot selling before this morning’s CPI release: spot venues saw $61M more aggressive selling than buying on $426M traded.
After the report, BTC fell 2.5% in four hours and held that loss through the afternoon. Only 3 of 32 prior CPI windows since 2024 saw a drop this steep. Perps net sold too, and long liquidations were part of the move.
$ETH spot flow flipped from net buying to net selling in back-to-back 24-hour windows.
Over the latest 24 hours, tracked spot venues had $117M more aggressive selling than buying on $1.53B traded. Perps net sold too.
OKX, Kraken, Coinbase and Bybit spot were net sellers; Binance was the exception, with net buying. ETH fell almost in line with BTC over the same window. Spot selling is back, and ETH is still moving with the broader market.
QuantumFlow’s Momentum Pulse tracks flow pressure in a chart pane, with momentum bars and early-shift markers.
It focuses on one question: is pressure behind the move building or running out?
$SOL’s spot selling is unusually one-sided, and price is responding.
Over the last 24 hours, large spot trades were about $20M more sells than buys on $53M traded. Large perp trades sold too, and SOL fell harder than BTC and ETH.
Overall spot flow was negative across the tracked venues, though Coinbase was close to balance. Spot and perp selling are aligned.
$WLD rallied in September through net selling in large perp trades. Similar setups have given mixed follow-through, so that rally alone was no guarantee of a floor.
Over the last 24 hours, perps saw $24M more aggressive selling than buying on $380M traded. Spot flow stayed near balanced, and WLD fell more than BTC and ETH. Perp selling is now reaching price.
$NEAR is up ~143% over the past month, and open interest rose across the tracked perp venues.
Long-account share on Binance, Bybit and OKX is below each venue’s monthly average. Spot and perp aggressive flow were close to balanced today.
That leaves a broad OI build without a matching rise in long-account skew. OI alone doesn’t make this a crowded-long trade.
$BTC is grinding higher, but the move remains quiet. 30-day annualized realized volatility is in the bottom 13% of the past year.
Spot and perp aggressive flow were both close to balance over the past 24 hours. Perp open interest grew over the week, though its latest daily change was near its recent norm.
In a small sample of 15 similar low-volatility upswings, BTC was higher a week later 8 times. Higher-volatility rises with similar prior gains did nearly the same. The quiet setup has barely improved the historical odds of another up week.
$ETH rose during September’s U.S. sessions with a lighter perp footprint. Binance perp open interest in ETH terms edged lower, and U.S. spot ETF creations stayed positive.
Creations relative to Binance U.S.-session spot turnover ranked fourth-highest in a small 26-month history. October’s latest complete ETF session was an outflow; the next report was partial, so there is no confirmed outflow run.
