Now feeling that the majority of interesting scientific conversations don't take place here, so I'm moving over to the place where the sky is blue 🔵🪂
You can find me there with the same handle: QuentinLclrc
I'll keep this account online and still share some stuff occasionally!

Contact heterogeneity in healthcare settings is a major challenge when implementing interventions against pathogen spread... but what if we could instead use this to our advantage?
New paper on this in @PLOSMedicine 💉🦠
journals.plos.org/plosmedici…
Key conclusion: the most effective strategy depends on both the intervention & the subpopulation targeted
So, instead of ignoring the complex contact structures in healthcare settings, we should measure and use them to implement efficient interventions against pathogen spread! 🦠
Big thanks to Audrey Duval who started this work during her PhD and developed the model, and to other co-authors from @institutpasteur @MESuRS_Cnam Didier Guillemot, @LullaOpatowski and Laura Temime ! 🙌
