Twitter is getting depressing, so I've taken a step back for the time being.
Every time I log on, I'm bombarded with hundreds of spam messages and garbage "politics".
Gaming engagement here, both conversation and visibility, is all but done.
Yup
I've not done that for years
It's a me problem, not Twitter
This has opened my eyes
Replying to @Quest64Official @Bakaforhire
it takes maybe 10 minutes to shape the timeline you lazy cunt
So, I'm not deleting my account... in hopes of a turnaround when this site stops being Truth Social 2X.
If you like video games, literally all other social media platforms are currently a more viable option to find your people and community ❤️
I'm mostly on BlueSky.
March 5 2001, Conker's Bad Fur Day debuted on the N64 in the Americas!
If you've ever wanted to get in touch with Conker, his home address (according to the Nintendo Power Player's Guide) is:
12 Oak Tree Lane #4, 60329-1677
Which is the German postal code for Frankfurt am Main!
March 3 2000, Nuclear Strike debuted on the N64 in PAL territories!
After the PS1 final mission there is an advertisement for "Future Strike: Coming in 1998"
This was omitted on N64 as the port didn't release until 1999 and Future Strike had been released as "Future Cop: LAPD"!
March 2 2001, Pokemon Puzzle League debuted on the N64 in PAL territories!
It's the only console Pokemon game to release exclusively to the West market, and not Japan.
Pokemon Play It! (PC) and Pokemon Rumble Rush (Mobile) also never hit Japan, but no one played them anywhere 🙃
March 1 1998, Fighters Destiny debuted on the N64 in PAL territories!
Despite receiving praise and generally reviewing well, the game sold poorly out of the gate.
This prompted Infogrames and Ocean to do something unprecedented in late 1997/ early 1998: DROP THE PRICE $20!
February 28 1998, 1080° Snowboarding debuted on the N64 in Japan!
In the course side audience, biblically accurate depictions of Mario, Luigi, Toad and others can be seen among the spectators!
February 27 is a special day in the very specialized genre of "companion" Gameboy games with:
Pocket Monsters: Red & Green (1996)
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages & Seasons (2001)
BOTH *or all four* debuting on this day in Japan!
Dig out that link cable and celebrate with friends!
February 26 1999, Gex: Enter The Gecko debuted on the N64 in PAL territories!
The Japanese release of this game came only on Playstation where Bandai published it as Spin Tail.
Gex's name was changed to Reno and he was voiced by popular actor Mitsuo Senda (Naruto/YuYu Hakusho)!
